Piers Morgan mocks Meghan Markle’s plea for privacy & says that’s why she was left out of Harry’s royal birthday wishes
PIERS Morgan has mocked Meghan Markle's plea for privacy and claimed that's the reason she didn't feature in Prince Harry's birthday messages from the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex celebrated his 36th birthday yesterday – and royal watchers noticed that Meghan Markle was absent from every photo the family posted of Harry on their social media accounts.
Discussing the royal tributes on Good Morning Britain, Piers said: "Let's talk about the extraordinary thing that happened yesterday for Prince Harry's birthday.
"There were royal photo messages from Kensington Palace, Clarence House and the Royal Family and they were queuing up to say happy birthday."
While Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a photo of them racing with Harry at Olympia Park in 2017, The Queen posted an image of her and her grandson as Prince Charles opted for two images of Harry without his wife.
Although Susana Reid insisted that they were "nostalgic photographs", Piers claimed Meghan had been "airbrushed" out.
Mocking the Duchess of Sussex, he said: "Do you think it was because she wanted to have her privacy respected at this difficult time in between 18 Zoom calls?"
Jumping to Meghan's defence, Susanna said: "No I think it was because the people who were tweeting were just tweeting their memories of being with Prince Harry in happy times."
Before they moved on from the matter, Piers quipped: "They all hate each other, let's be perfectly honest. They cut Meghan out."
However, the Palace has always denied any rumours of a rift between the Cambridge and Sussex households.
At the start of this year, Meghan and Harry announced they were stepping down as senior working members of the Royal Family to "carve out a progressive new role" and pursue a more private life.
The news came after the couple reportedly built THREE fences around their Windsor home Frogmore Cottage and royal fans were banned from taking photos of the Duchess at Wimbledon because she was there in a "private capacity".
After Megxit was announced, the couple temporarily moved to Canada before relocating to LA in March where they stayed in Tyler Perry's £14m mansion as the coronavirus crisis took hold.
In August, it was confirmed that the couple had moved into a new £11m mansion in Santa Barbara with one-year-old Archie.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had signed a £112m deal with Netflix to make documentaries that will "inform and give hope" to audiences.
