We put luxury hand washes to the test and one is really worth the hype | The Sun

WASHING hands is hardly the highlight of a beauty routine, but a luxe hand wash can make it feel more indulgent.

This week, I’ve tried three visually pleasing apothecary-style bottles to see if they really are worth the hype.

BEAUTY: with Tara Leddem

M&S Apothecary Calm exfoliating hand wash (£6 for 250ml, M&S): I am obsessed with the exfoliating beads in this hand wash – they make your hands feel properly clean and help get rid of any rough patches, although the beads can get a little bit clogged in the dispenser, so be patient.

The lavender smell is fresh but comforting, and not at all “granny-like”.

It’s well worth spending the extra cash to get the glass bottle.

This comes in at £9.50 for 480ml, but then you can buy the refill pouches, so it works out cheaper in the long run and it’s better for the planet too.

I’m tested Primark beauty products – here are the ones to bag & those to miss

I’m a beauty fan & there’s three makeup products that are not worth the hype

AESOP Resurrection hand wash (£29 for 500ml, cultbeauty.co.uk): This is undeniably the creme de la creme of hand wash.

It leaves my hands feeling silky, no matter how often I wash them, so you don’t need to worry about that tight, dry feeling.

Plus, the orange, rosemary and lavender scent is the perfect combination of a warm yet tangy aroma that smells expensive and fills the whole bathroom.

It’s so addictive, I’ve bought the rinse-free version to keep in my bag.

It smells, and feels, so good you won’t want to refill the jar with anything cheaper. My favourite.

SOAPSMITH Brick Lane hand wash (£18 for 300ml, soapsmith.com): The smoky amber, pepper and sandalwood scent would make a great candle, and is the perfect combination for this time of year.

But it’s quite strange on my hands and I can’t stop smelling them, although not in a good way.

Scent aside, the hand wash lathers nicely and doesn’t feel too stripping.

I love how all of the fragrances are named after areas in London – it feels really nostalgic, so I’d buy it again but in a different scent next time around.

PICK OF THE WEEK: BEAUTY shopping on the High Street is going from strength to strength, especially when it comes to budget make-up – and I’m always super excited to pick up the latest brand.

Spanish colour cosmetics brand 3INA launched in Superdrug this week, and will be available in store from October 12.

I’ll be making a beeline for its foolproof The Cream eyeshadow, £15, and highly pigmented Colour Pen eyeshadow, £13.
