Woman spends £20,000 on designer clothes for her spoilt chihuahuas who ONLY drink sparkling water & eat steak every day

A DOG lover has spent more than £20,000 on designer clothes for her pampered chihuahuas – and says she doesn't regret a penny of it.

Leone Galler, 53, from Rochester, Kent, loves to spoil three-year-old white chihuahua Romeo and four-year-old chihuahua and Bichon mix Reggie.

The pampered pooches – who live with Leone, husband Steve and son Bradley, 21 – dine on steak every day and only drink sparkling water.

Leone reckons she spends around £80 on the posh 'pet food' each month, £45 on their regular grooming sessions, and £300 on designer clobber – like cashmere jumpers and silk jackets covered in Swarovski crystals.

"They love to be dressed in Furdrobe clothes all made with luxurious fabrics," Leone told Metro. "I started dressing them in jumpers as they are so small they do feel the cold."

Of their expensive drinking habit, she added: "They refuse tap water. One day I had a glass of sparkling water on the side and they started drinking it. That’s when I realised (that’s what they wanted)."

We made it a little easier for our mum to take a photo but I still turned to the side. OOTD jackets from @sparkpawsofficial

Mum-of-two Leone doesn't work – so she can dedicate all her time to the dogs – and says she's not bothered if people judge her spending habits.

She said: "I will always do what is best for my dogs, and we have the money so why not. We don’t spend as much on ourselves as our dogs."

Leone is now planning a 'wedding' between Romeo and white maltipom Delilah, who lives in Palm Beach, US.

The dogs had been planning to wed at a fancy hotel in Florida in September, but are postponing until April because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Leone is far from the only one who spoils her dogs. Mrs Hinch's pooch Henry has his own bedroom – with a full-sized bed, velvet sheets and chandelier.
