Amanda recalled: “I did The Chase, which is the worst thing I’ve ever done.

“I mean that was absolutely terrible,” she added of the nail-biting quiz show, that saw her take on Chaser Paul Sinha for £99,000 in the final chase.

The TV presenter divulged that although she has starred in other reality show’s including Pointless, there’s no chance of her appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! or Strictly Come Dancing.

She explained: “I’d never do the jungle, no that’s not going to happen, it’s too scary.”

Of Strictly, she said: “I’m really bad at coordination, the left and the right thing is just not happening.

“I would be like Ann Widdecombe. I don’t think it would work for anyone involved so probably not,” the TV host added.

However, she would have no qualms returning to the show that made her a household name: A Place In The Sun.

She divulged: “I’d love to go back, I think my girls are a bit older now, they stopped commissioning A Place in the Sun when my daughter was three and a half, so for three years there were no episodes.

“When it came back, they did ask me to go back, at the time she was three and a half, nearly four, she was just about to start school.

“I couldn’t just take off for two years, and not see her. Or drag her around with me, so I couldn’t do it but now they are both a bit older, quite possibly.”

The presenter particularly enjoyed working on the special celebrity editions of the programme.

She added: “I’d love to go back and do a few celeb ones, they were good fun when I did those.

“I did one with Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Anthea Turner.

“It was good fun, but yeah I’m very happy with My Mortgage Free Home because it means I get to do two/three days a week of filming and then the rest of the time I can be at home with the kids and the dogs.”

My Mortgage Free Home is a new programme that Amanda has filmed for HGTV.

It shows prospective home-buyers how they could afford to live mortgage-free and with extra money in their pocket each month.

She revealed that there were moments on the show that saw buyers become overcome with emotion, as they realised that their property dreams could become a reality.

The real estate expert sets out to show couples and families how they can save money and live mortgage-free on the programme.

In some instances, when Amanda would take people around properties that would save them money each month, the buyers would become tearful.

My Mortgage Free Home airs Mondays at 9pm on HGTV.
