Anton Du Beke: Strictly pro updates worried fans on son’s condition after hospital dash

Anton Du Beke, 53, shared with his 251,000 Twitter followers that his son George has made a full recovery after a mystery operation. The Strictly Come Dancing pro reassured fans that “all’s well” and the three-year-old was in “fine fettle” after he spent a number of nights in hospital.

Anton tweeted: “Morning my loves, thank you all so much for your kind messages about George – delighted to say all’s well and he’s in fine fettle!”
He added: “Apologies again for the class cancellations last week – let’s get back on track… Choreo Combo at 11am!”
The ballroom dancer has been keeping busy during lockdown teaching fitness classes online for his Fit at 50 series.
Every day, Anton has delighted his following with a vigorous workout routine that is designed to keep the public exercising while at home.

However, due to a series of unfortunate events towards the end of last week, Anton had to cancel the popular classes.
Last Thursday the star’s “unbelievable” broadband began to play up again which forced him to reschedule the workout.
He wrote: “DISASTER!… No broadband again. Unbelievable.
“I’m so sorry, my loves – I’ll have to cancel this evening’s workout! So very sorry!!
“Please do a repeat of one of our previous workouts on the channel to keep up your momentum.
“Huge apologies again — very frustrating indeed!! Anton X.”
On Friday his son George was taken unwell which meant that Anton again had to postpone the fitness training session.
He explained: “So sorry my loves, I won’t be able to take today’s classes as little George has had an operation and a short stay in hospital – but don’t worry, he’s all ok now!

Following the admission, hundreds of Anton’s fans shared their love and worries for his little boy.
One wrote: “ I hope Anton your boy is up soon and at em again. Xxx.”(sic)
A second replied: “Oh no- hope all ok & he’s better soon.”

Anton is now gearing up for a busy year ahead as he returns to the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Following that the dancer will share the stage alongside Erin Boag in 2021 for their Showtime tour.
It will pay tribute to icons including Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire as they travel around the country.
