Black Sabbath Unveil ‘Masters Of Reality’-Style Black Lives Matter Shirt
Black Sabbath have unveiled a t-shirt with a design based on the album art of Masters of Reality, a week after Tom Morello posted a photo of himself in the Black Lives Matter shirt with the iconic font to his Instagram account.
Morello’s post on Insta, alongside his 96-year-old mother, carried a message supporting the BLM movement, and got the approval from Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, who commented: “Nice shirt & nice sentiment & awesome mum”. Morello said his mother has been “tireless advocate for black lives her whole life.”
The entire proceeds from the sale of these t-shirts will go to Black Lives Matter. “One-hundred percent of net proceeds will be donated to Black Lives Matter,” a social media post from the band reads. “Help make a difference.”
The sleek black tees, prices at $25 each, are available for pre-order, and are expected to be shipped from mid-July from the band’s official merchandise website.
A disclaimer on the sales page of Black Sabbath reads: Charity participation does not imply endorsement approval or recommendation by Universal Music Group or its affiliates.
