Charley Webb has been left stunned by her son Buster after he decided to critique her make-up skills and cheekily told her she had "too much" on her face.
The Emmerdale actress was picking the 10-year-old up from a tennis lesson when he cheekily quipped: "You’ve got far too much makeup on."
Telling fans about the incident in a video shared on her Instagram Story, Charley, 33, explained that she then told Buster she had "barely any" make-up on and was wearing “just a bit of mascara”.
Buster responded: “That’s what it is, you’ve not done underneath your eyes and they look really baggy and old.”
Explaining to fans that her son's comment left her feeling furious, Charley said: “Sorry? Sorry, what? I was, I don’t even know, I can’t even tell you how annoyed I was but he was like ‘no I’m not being rude, I didn’t mean it to be offensive, I was just saying’. I was like well it is offensive, it’s extremely offensive!”
The soap star also told her followers that her son’s remarks were “just out of the mouths of children”.
Charley, who plays Debbie Dingle in the soap, has three children with Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden, who stars alongside her as David Metcalfe.
The soap couple's eldest child is cheeky Buster, and they also have two more sons, Bowie and Ace.
Last month, Charley shared a birthday tribute to her older brother Jamie Lomas, who plays Warren Fox in Hollyoaks.
She wrote: “The most protective brother in the land. Happy Birthday fool face @jamielomas21.”
Charley and Jamie share an especially close bond as he walked her down the aisle when she married husband Matthew in 2018.

Charley sadly lost her dad when she was just 14 years old, but luckily Jamie was on hand for her special day.
She told OK!: “My sister Cassie helped me put the wedding dress on. She said Jamie was so devastated as we had announced the ushers, best men and bridesmaids but then he realised. As if we could forget him! He can’t get over the fact we asked him to do it.”
