Phillip Schofield was scolded by his co-host Holly Willoughby after breaking social distancing rules on Wednesday's episode of This Morning.

The broadcaster was running through the show's itinerary for the day when he suddenly remembered that he was sitting far too close to the blonde presenter.

Looking sheepish as he edged away to the other end of the soda, the 59 year old said out loud: "Oh God, too close again!"

Holly, 40, couldn't contain her giggles as she told her embarrassed co-host: "Budge up, you. Not yet! Bit longer to wait, then you can come to sit here".

Phillip then reminded himself about the next stage of lockdown restrictions easing on June 21st, while hilariously adding: "Lick my face."

Holly joked that the date was "already in his diary".

Meanwhile, mum-of-three Holly looked fresh-faced and ready to seize the day in a Franks London dress during the episode.

The spring-inspired blue gingham pattern channelled Dorothy Gale from Wizard of Oz vibes.

Sadly, the outfit wasn't finished off with a pair of ruby slippers, instead, Holly opted once again for her nude court heels from Gianvitto Rossi.

Taking to her Instagram to post her usual outfit picture before the show starts, the image was captioned: "Morning Wednesday… you get to put your beauty questions to the brilliant @carolinehirons today… see you on @thismorning at 10am."

Throughout her time on the show we have seen the 40-year-old sport some amazing looks and this is definitely one to add to the long list of favourites.

One user praised the presenter saying: "You look incredible!! this blue really does suit you", whilst another followed with: "Love love this blue dress on you, you look amazing as usual xx."

On Thursday, Holly will wrap up her week of presenting as she heads off for her weekend.
