Joe Swash talks future on Gogglebox as he addresses filming experience with Stacey Solomon

Stacey Solomon jokes she’s ‘deserted’ Joe Swash and the boys

Joe Swash, 39, has revealed he and Stacey Solomon, 31, are hoping to continue sharing their opinions on Britain’s television highlights by appearing on more Celebrity Gogglebox episodes in the future. The couple starred in the 2020 series of the hit Channel 4 show and became fan favourites, as they reacted to big TV moments from their sofa in their Essex home.

Joe recently reflected on his filming experience with his fiancée in an exclusive interview with, branding Gogglebox the perfect TV project to take on during lockdown.

The former EastEnders actor divulged: “I think we’ll do some more of it, me and Stace, because we really enjoyed them.

“It’s probably one of the only shows that’s made for lockdown, no one had to be in our house, just a couple of cameras.

“So it was quite easy to do whilst in lockdown.”

The pair, who previously worked together while hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! spin-off show Extra Camp, also admitted Gogglebox fortunately didn’t bring any “stress” into their partnership.

Joe explained: “We really enjoyed it!

“It’s one of those jobs that’s a pleasure to do, and there’s no stress.”

Stacey and Joe tickled Gogglebox viewers back in June last year when they bickered on-screen.

It came after the Loose Women panellist refused to tell her dog off for biting her beau.

Tucking into his pizza during an episode of Celebrity Gogglebox, Joe suddenly exclaimed: “Argh Theo!”

Stacey then hit back: “Well you dropped the meat.”

“She just bit my gooch, Theo! get away from me!” Joe ordered.

“Well she wasn’t going for that, she wouldn’t go for your gooch trust me, no one would want that,” Stacey quipped.

“Well she f**king got a good bite of it. You say things like it’s my fault, I drop something, your dog bites me,” Joe argued.

“She went for the meat, it’s your fault,” Stacey insisted.

“Course it’s my fault, my fault your dog just bit me on the a**e,” responded Joe.

Despite their occasional on-screen arguments, Joe insisted he and Stacey are “not opposed to working together”.

However, the couple are still waiting for the right project to come along.

The Dancing On Ice champion said: “We did have a project that we were going to work on together, but obviously that’s been pushed back because of corona.

“We’re not opposed to working together, it’s just finding the right project that we want to work together on.

“We’re just waiting to see what comes around,” he added.
