Kaitlyn Dever & Joey King To Star In ‘The Wildest Animals in Griffith Park’ Comedy Series With Margot Robbie Producing

Joey King and Kaitlyn Dever are set to star in a new comedy series, tentatively titled The Wildest Animals in Griffith Park.

The two young actors took part in a pitch video call during the age of social distancing for the show, alongside producer Margot Robbie. The trio teamed up to sell the project for streaming services and cable TV, according to THR.

The pitch included a “live” video of the three “as they interact and share their vision for the half-hour live-action show and an audience of cardboard cutouts depicting Netflix chief Ted Sarandos and Amazon’s Jennifer Salke, among other potential buyers, is shown applauding enthusiastically.”

The Wildest Animals in Griffith Park is created by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz, of The Peanut Butter Falcon fame.

The comedy is reported to center on two young women, Diane (Dever) and Jackie (King), as they move to a wooden house in a park to experience nature, and discover their purpose in the life.

The series will show how their lives will be in place when they cross paths with a couple, Andy and Blair.

It’s based upon Tyler and Michael‘s own real-life experience as they secretly lived in a park in the hills of Los Angeles while they developed The Peanut Butter Falcon.
