It’s a given that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has a very busy life, what with many royal engagements as well as being a wife and mum-of-three, but who does she hang out with when it comes to mummy and royal duty downtime?
Kate, 38, has a very tight knit group of friends made up of high profile names and successful ladies and the Duchess celebrated her 38th birthday with a handful of them as she invited them to join her for a week at her home, Anmer Hall, in January.

Here’s a look at who Kate’s closest pals are…
The Marchioness of Cholmondeley
The Marchioness of Cholmondeley, Rose Hanbury, 36, was first spotted as one of Kate’s friends after she attended Prince William and Kate’s wedding in 2011, alongside her husband, the 7th Marquess of Cholomondeley, 59.
Rose is a royal circle regular and was invited to a state banquet for Donald Trump at Buckingham Palace in June 2019. As well as this, she reportedly went along to Kate’s 38th birthday bash in Norfolk and lives just three miles way from Anmer Hall at the Palladian Houghton Hall.
Lady Laura Meade
Lady Laura Meade is married to one of Prince William’s closest friends from Eton, James, who was his best man and gave a speech at the royal wedding.

Lady Laura is believed to be one of Kate’s close friends and is said to be godmother to Prince Louis, while James is reportedly godfather to Princess Charlotte.
The couple also live close to Anmer Hall in Norfolk, and have been spotted with the Cambridge’s on several occasions.
Zoe Warren
Married to Dan Warren, another close friend of Will’s, Zoe was one of Princess Diana’s godchildren and her father is the Queen’s racing manager, John Warren.
Zoe’s family share a lot of the same interests as the Cambridge’s and they are all frequently spotted together at Ascot.
Sophie Carter
Sophie Carter, who is Princess Charlotte’s godmother, is known to be a longstanding friend of Kate’s and is often seen by her side at parties and events.

The pair were fond of a party back in the day, but now while away the hours watching tennis.
Sophie has worked as a nursery and prep school teacher and also lives near Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
Hannah Carter
Kate and Hannah Carter attended Marlborough College together and she and husband Robert are wealthy Norfolk landowners.
The pair attended Kate and Will’s 2011 wedding and Hannah’s sister-in-law, Sophie Carter, is one of Princess Charlotte’s godparents.
Lucy Lanigan-O'Keeffe
Lucy Lanigan-O'Keeffe is a teacher at Thomas’s Battersea, the school attended by George and Charlotte in London.
