Former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Kevin Clifton, 37, who won the competition with his now-girlfriend Stacey Dooley, has uncovered one of his other half’s tweets from all the way back in 2013 which could have been directed at him before they met on the show. The BBC favourite shared the remark in view of his 359,000 Instagram followers.
OMG! That new guy?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!?!?!?!?!
It comes after Stacey’s tweet read: “OMG! That new guy?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!?!?!?!?!
“I likey! God I love Strictly!” (sic)
After discovering the tweet, Kevin revealed the “guy” Stacey was speaking about could have been himself or their fellow co-star Aljaž Škorjanec.
The dancer highlighted the date and posted the comment onto his Instagram page to show his fans.
He wrote: “Someone posted this on Twitter! @sjdooley in 2013 tweeting about @bbcstrictly.
“2 new boys were announced that year.”
He continued: “Either we have just uncovered evidence that Stacey has fancied me for years…
“Or… The other boy was … @aljazskorjanec,” which was followed by a series of faces with monocles.
Shortly afterwards, Stacey herself replied to her beau’s revelation and tagged Janette Manrara, who is married to Aljaž.
The documentary filmmaker wrote: “@jmanrara is gonna kill me….”
Strictly professional Katya Jones also waded in to tell the favourites that Stacey’s tweet was “brilliant”.
Fans of the Strictly couple were quick to tell Kevin their thoughts over her tweet sent seven years ago.

One fan wrote: “Potentially awk.”
Another commented: “Gotta be you Kev, (you really scrolled Stacey’s twitter back to 2013?)” followed by laughing face emojis.
One fan similarly added: “It was you Kev! Not Aljaž. No. Definitely you.”
A fourth went on to ask for all the details as they replied: “Ohhhhhhhh do tell Stacey!”
Kevin and Stacey made their relationship officially public in April last year after winning the competition in 2018.
It seems their relationship has been going from strength to strength as Stacey previously said she is “very lucky”.
“Kev and I have agreed not to go into too much detail about our private lives because you can’t really indulge that and then ask for privacy,” she told the Guardian.
“That’s why we’ve turned down interviews that have offered us tens of thousands of pounds.”
She added: “What I am happy to say is Kev’s amazing, I’m happy, life happens, I’ve got an amazing career, and I’m very lucky.”
