Kid Rock Leaves Fans Disappointed After Using Homophobic Slurs During Live Performance
When performing at a Tennessee bar, the ‘All Summer Long’ singer points to his penis and tells fans to ‘post this d**k right now’ because he is upset with them for recording him.
AceShowbiz –Kid Rock has offended many people with his recent remarks. Having been caught using homophobic slurs while performing at a Tennessee bar, the “All Summer Long” rocker found himself being criticized by his disappointed fans on social media.
The 50-year-old, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, dropped the slurs when he took the stage at FishLipz Bar & Grill in Smithville on Saturday, June 5. When he saw the audience recording him with their phones, he first shouted, “F**k your iPhone, yeah!”
Rock then pointed to his penis and told his fans, “You can post this d**k right now,” before yelling, “You fucking f*****s with your iPhones out.” According to TMZ, the “Bawitdaba” singer was mad because securities had already asked the audience to put their phones away during the gig.
Rock’s fans were quick to express their disappointment on Twitter. One user penned, “Sad to find out Kid Rock is homophobic when he is so incredibly talented.” Another added, “I, for one, am shocked that noted LGBTQ ally Kid Rock would say something homophobic.”
One individual, meanwhile, tweeted, “When I heard Kid Rock made a homophobic comment, I got so mad I drove 12 hours to my parents house, went in the attic, found Kid Rock’s latest cassette, and threw it out.” Someone else then chimed in, “Ok I’m done. Too bad because I liked [his] music.”
This was not the first time Rock got angry on stage. In November 2019, he sounded off his hatred toward Oprah Winfrey at his Honky Tonk Bar in Nashville without explaining the reason why. A video posted by TMZ at that time showed him shouting “F**k Oprah!” while he was intoxicated. After the crowd accused him of being a “racist,” he insisted, “I’m not a bad guy, I’m just an honest guy.”
Rock has since sparked backlash. However, it was not until days later he decided to respond to the criticism. “All this BS (bulls**t) going on has just got my blood pumpin’ and is only more songwriting fuel for a new record and tour in 2021,” he wrote on Twitter. “I am beholden to no one, no corporate sponsors, no label and I am gonna go the f**k off!”
“You haters better be shaking in your boots,” he added in another post. “To my supporters and fans, I will not let you down. I guarantee it will be my best record and tour ever. Devil Without a Cause… Kid Rock.”
