Louise Minchin: BBC Breakfast host suffers a ‘hair-based emergency’ before going on-air
Louise Minchin, 51, was having bit of a mare yesterday morning just before she hit our screens alongside Dan Walker. The pair are always full of smiles and gusto as they prepare to bring the latest news on coronavirus and trending topics to viewers sat at home as lockdown continues.
My hairdressing skills seem to be getting worse not better!
Always looking camera ready, it seems Louise had a little hair malfunction before she was due on-air.
As the UK is still in quaratine and implementing strict social distancing rules, TV presenters nationwide have had to do their hair and make-up themselves.
Taking to Twitter, Dan posted a behind the scenes snap of his co-host looking slightly bedraggled, despite sitting on the sofa ready to go.
“Send help… we have a hair-based emergency on #BBCBreakfast,” he captioned the photo while having a good old chuckle at his poor colleague, who seemed to find it equally as funny.

With no one to help her out, Louise had to sort the issue herself and it wasn’t long before she replied to Dan to take a little dig at herself.
“My hairdressing skills seem to be getting worse not better!” she joked, as fans rushed to the comments section to have a giggle.
“You look amazing, I have no idea how you keep it together speaking to families who have lost love ones, you make me a blubbering wreck every day. Keep up the good work,” one fan cheered.
Another said: “You always look fantastic, and thanks for brightening the day.”
A third quipped: “You show me which hedge got you, I’ll sort him out.”
“Don’t worry, you should see the state of us this end!” a fourth giggled.
Someone else laughed: “We love the new lockdown look.”
Others likened her to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who’s blonde barnet is often described as “scruffy”.
