Michael Ball Reveals Secret Battle With Coronavirus
The ‘Love Changes Everything’ star claims he and longtime partner Cathy McGowan contracted the killer virus Covid-19 during early coronavirus pandemic.
AceShowbiz –Michael Ball and his partner Cathy McGowan can add themselves to the list of Covid-19 survivors, after contracting and recovering from the coronavirus in March 2020.
The 57-year-old singer and broadcaster opened up about his battle with the virus during an interview with Music Week magazine, in which he stressed the illness “isn’t very nice.”
Asked how he is coping with lockdown, Michael replied, “I’m good. Cath and I both had the virus and both got over it. It wasn’t very nice, I’ve got to be honest. We had it quite early, in the middle of March, so we’re through it. It’s not like anything else, I tell you…”
Michael has teamed up with national treasure Captain Tom Moore on a cover of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” – which has earned him his first-ever British number one and helped make $39.5 million for the National Health Service (NHS).
Reflecting on collaborating with the army veteran on the tune, Michael smiled, “There are moments in life where all the stars align and it just happens. So much could have gone wrong with this, and it could have not have happened, but the fact everyone was willing to work their socks off under the most ridiculous of circumstances and actually deliver and make it happen and make something good.”
“It’s not a bad record, it’s not a joke record, it’s got such heart and sincerity. It’s a proper, proper piece of music.”
