Strictly Come Dancing has long carried the reputation for encouraging budding romances between professional dancers and their celebrity partners, but there are also a fair few relationships on the show between the pros. From Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec, Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer to Neil Jones and Katya Jones, the latter now admitted that he would consider another workplace relationship despite his amicable split from his fellow pro.
I think I would
He and Katya were married for six years and were together for 11 before they decided to separate in summer 2019.
At the time, the pair released a joint statement before the 2019 series began, citing that they loved each other “just in a different way as friends.”
But in a recent interview, Neil is still open to beginning another relationship with someone in his work life.
He said: “I think I would. I think I would, but it’s just, it’s always, I’d say it’s all about the conversation. It’s all about the boundaries.”
The BBC star continued: “When you dance with someone and you’re in a relationship, you’re working with them twenty-four-seven.
“It’s very difficult to mix home life and work life.”
During the 2019 show, he was rumoured to have a budding romance blossoming with his then dance partner Alex Scott, although the pair denied the claims and remain close friends.
The dancer also revealed that he has no bad blood with his former girlfriends, including Katya.
“In all honesty with near my exes, I still get on with all of them,” he chuckled.
“Even if something bad happens, I’m still a strong believer that it’s just something that can happen.”
He went on to explain he’s never found himself in a position where he has had to cut someone completely out of his life.

“I’ve never had one moment with any ex where I’m like, ‘Yeah, I never want to see you again,'” he told FUBAR Radio.
But when it comes down to meeting someone, Neil confessed he prefers to take the “old-fashioned” route rather than choosing dating apps.
“I hate all of these dating apps and things like that,” he scoffed.
“I like to just meet someone and talk and get their energy.”
But for now, he’s quite happy being single, admitting: “I’ve been in relationships for a long time.
“So at the moment I’m going, it’s about me. It’s about finding me right now.”
