The Good Morning Britain host and the property expert fell out following a feud on Twitter in March. Piers Morgan, 55, has now claimed Kirstie Allsopp, 49, had complained to TV bosses and asked for them to make him apologise.
You’ve got to be joking
The Location Location Location star had been complaining about the criticism she received after leaving London for Devon during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.
She tweeted: “The last 24 hours has been utterly horrible, full of vile, unpleasant and frankly frightening comments.”(sic)
Piers retweeted her post and advised: “Stop making this crisis about your struggle with trolls.
He continued: “Kirstie, you’re rich, privileged & isolating in a lavish country home with your family.
“Maybe stop making this crisis about your struggle with trolls & direct your energy into rallying support for NHS workers risking their lives for us all in very dangerous circumstances?”
Piers has now alleged that TV bosses have asked him to issue her with an apology.
He told the Mirror: “She got a load of TV execs to call me up trying to get me to stop and apologise.
“I was like, ‘You’ve got to be joking’. It was a very short phone call. I said, ‘I’m entitled to my opinion and I intend to keep saying it’, which they accepted.”
He added: “Everyone’s going to have an opinion but you should respect opinions you don’t agree with.”
Kirstie responded to Piers remarks by labelling him a “total b*****d” for sharing the post with his many followers.
She wrote: “You total b*****d there was NO need to Retweet that to your millions of followers, it was totally unnecessary and unkind thing to do.”
Piers, not stepping down from the argument, continued the row by retweeting the star once more, as he typed: “ Oh get over yourself. Seriously. People are dying, and others are risking their lives to try to save them.”

Representatives for Kirstie have been approached by Express.co.uk for comment.
The pair’s feud prompted many Twitter users to comment.
One wrote: “Don’t put a tweet out if you don’t want it retweeted maybe.”
Another replied: “No need for that Piers”
The Channel 4 star went on to reveal that her husband Ben Anderson had tested positive for coronavirus at the time.
In a seven-day self-isolation diary for The Sunday Times, Kirstie explained how the couple took their four kids Oscar, 11, Bay, 13, Hal, 17, and Lydia, 19 out of school after Ben was diagnosed and brought them to their home in Devon to self-isolate.
She said she left for Devon so they could stay safe and walk their dog “without going outside”.
She told Metro: “We thought, what do we do? Do we go to the place which already has food in the freezer, already has stuff, you know, I got more loo roll in this house I don’t need to buy more loo roll. I’m kind of a classic, eldest, first child and incredibly organised. So I didn’t need to go out and buy more paracetamol or take anything from anybody else. I have all that I need here. So when we got this obviously worrying diagnosis, we came to the place where we were safest where the dog could be walked, without going outside.”
