Piers Morgan wowed fans with a rare photo of his youthful-looking father Glynne Pughe-Morgan in a throwback snap to celebrate his birthday.
The Good Morning Britain star took to social media to wish his father a happy birthday, but fans were left stunned over how young he looked.
Taking to his Instagram account, Piers, 55, is seen posing alongside his father and daughter Elise in a snap taken last year.

Piers explained in the photo that he should be celebrating the birthday in St Tropez, but has had his plans axed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Happy birthday to my Dad, who looks younger than me every year,” he wrote alongside the image.
“This pic was taken in St Tropez last year, where we would all have been again this week…doubtless celebrating with a long lunch in Club 55,” he added.
“Instead, we’ll have to settle for a Zoom chat later… c’est la nouvelle vie [this is the new life].”
Fans and celebrity friends of Piers were left shocked over how young his father looked, with Lizzie Cundy commenting: “Wow !! He looks like your brother not your Dad ! Good genes !”
A second added: “Wow! Your dad looks young. Amazing, happy birthday to him!”

The presenter revealed that reporting on the coronavirus pandemic has been tiring and that the hosts will take a week-long break.

Joking about staying at home during the break, Susanna asked Piers if he would be going anywhere nice, to which he replied: “I’m going upstairs!”
Piers then added: “Susanna, Dr Hilary and I are actually going to have a week off. We’re gonna have Half Term off next week. Even though, of course, there is no Half Term.”
Reflecting on their hard work in the studio, the presenter then added: “It’s been a long old haul. We’re all feeling a bit [tired].”
