Prince Charles Ignores Reporters Asking If He Watched the Sussexes’ Oprah Interview

Prince Charles has no comment regarding the bombshell interview his son, Prince Harry, had with Oprah Winfrey over the weekend.

While in London touring an NHS COVID-19 vaccine distribution site, the Prince of Wales was asked by accompanying reporters about his thoughts following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s sit-down with Winfrey. Though Charles did look back at the reporter who asked the initial question, he quickly turned, “chuckling,” and continued to exit the facility.

During the two-hour prime-time special, Harry opened up about where his relationships with both his father and brother, Prince William, stand after he and his wife, Duchess Meghan, decided to step back as senior working royals last year. Harry admitted that he and his father have “a lot to work through” when it comes to mending their relationship.

“I feel really let down because he’s been through something similar,” said Harry, referencing the media frenzy that surrounded his father in the aftermath of his divorce from Princess Diana and her untimely death. “He knows what pain feels like. And Archie’s his grandson. But at the same time, I will always love him. But there’s a lot of hurt that’s happened. And I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship. But they only know what they know.”

Harry echoed a similar sentiment regarding his brother, expressing that he and the Duke of Cambridge are giving each other “space” at the moment.

“As I said before, I love William to bits. We’ve been through hell together and we have a shared experience, but we are on different paths,” expressed Harry. “The relationship is ‘space’ at the moment. And time heals all things, hopefully.”
