Prince William and Kate Middleton were reunited with the Queen in public for the first time since March on Tuesday night at Windsor Castle as they finished their Christmas tour of the UK.

The Royal couple met with the monarch, 94, Prince Charles, 71, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, 73, Prince Edward, 56, and Sophie Wessex, 55, and the Princess Royal, 70.

In a sweet moment at the end of the evening, as the Queen was seen walking up steps into the castle, Prince William could be heard calling out "bye Gran".

It would likely have been a very emotional moment for William as it's unclear when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will see the Queen again after the traditional royal Christmas event was cancelled.

The meeting was the first time a large group of senior members of the Royals have come together since the coronavirus pandemic started in March.

Charles and Camilla stood nearby with William and Kate, while the Earl and Countess of Wessex and the Princess Royal stood next to Christmas trees lit with lights.

At the culmination of the performance, the Queen, who donned a hat and coat in Christmas red, chatted to her family one at at time.
