A new book has claimed that Prince William, 38, “threw Harry out” after finding out about a dossier alleging Meghan Markle, 39, bullied royal staff.

The new book by author Robert Lacey claims a furious Prince William threw his brother, Prince Harry, 36, out of his royal household after finding out about a file claiming staff were mistreated by his brother’s wife, Meghan Markle, which she has since denied.

The angry royal reportedly went “ballistic” after hearing about the claims in the dossier according to the book and is said to have ordered his private secretary to separate the two couple’s households “immediately” following the incident.

Robert claims in his book, Battle of Brothers, published by The Times, that the allegations made against the Duchess of Sussex resulted in a bitter row between the brothers, who previously were very close.

The author claims in his book that the allegations led to an angry phone conversation between William and Harry as they clashed over the claims that Meghan’s behaviour caused a member of staff to be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of the “toxic” environment.

According to the author the phone call ended with Harry hanging up on his brother as he supported his wife disputing the allegations.

The bullying claims were fiercely denied by Harry who defended his wife saying it was Meghan who was the victim of a “smear campaign”.

A friend of the brothers is said to have claimed in the book that “William threw Harry out” and the Duke of Sussex was upset that his older brother believed the claims to be credible.

The book alleged that Jason Knauf, who was joint communications secretary to both the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, made the decision to speak up for staff after hearing of mistreatment claims against staff by the Duchess of Sussex. He compiled a dossier, documenting the allegations that he’d received and it was then sent to the Duke of Cambridge’s private secretary.

Jason Knauf’s dossier compiled in 2018, according to Robert Lacey’s book, came about after he had received “report after report” from those who’d witnessed “unacceptable behaviour” by Meghan to a member of staff.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex strongly refute the claims made in the documents, according to the book that alleges Meghan had bullied two PAs out of their roles the year before.

The incident, the book claims, has driven a wedge between the brothers who have always been close, as Harry is said to be “hurt” that his brother believed the accusations while William was “appalled” at what he heard regarding Meghan’s behaviour towards staff.
