Strictly’s HRVY ‘struggling to walk’ as he opens up on being a ‘player’ amid Maisie Smith romance rumours

We’re dancing the Salsa this week! It’s killing my back because we have to do lifts which I’ve never done before.

I’m just trying to make sure I can lift Janette on Saturday because I do not want to drop her on live TV!

I’m currently struggling to walk, but we’re still going into the studio and powering through.

There’s been a few falls in rehearsals so far, but we’re using a crash mat at the moment. I just feel bad for Janette because she knows I’m not the strongest person.

The plan is to have my chest out this week, so I’m getting a golden glow.

All the boys have spray tans (Jamie is the worst!) and I put it off every week, but I’m so pale and Janette has such a lovely skin tone that I need to make sure that I don’t look like a ghost sitting next to her!

Last Saturday, I had to tell Maisie how great she looked with blonde hair when she was dancing as Elsa from Frozen.

I thought she was amazing! I know how nervous she was about ballroom, but she was so elegant. She smashed it getting a nine!

Lorraine invited me on her show after the dance off and I wasn’t surprised when she asked about if there was any romance between Maisie and I. Everyone does!

We’ve had a bit of banter about it together, we just find all the rumours funny!

I’m also really missing my friends and family this week.

Not getting a great score last week was a little disheartening, but it put a fire in my belly to do well this weekend!

The judges have their own opinions which is fair enough, but I had the best time dancing as a gnome.

Although, I did get teased by my friends who just sent me lots of screenshots of me in my costume.

I have to say, dancing to Don’t Go Breaking My Heart last week did take me back to my heartbreaking days in primary school! I used to be such a player, I had tons of girlfriends.

That being said, I don’t think I’ve ever broken anyone’s heart since then. I really am just a nice guy!

I miss Jason’s big American accent backstage already.

It was such a shame to see him go, he has the best energy! But he took it like a champ and we’ll definitely stay in contact.

I was also SO proud of Jamie’s Hercules performance last week.

He could have won Strictly with his reaction after. I think it’s really nice that he has his girlfriend Sophie as a support, they’re lovely together.

Sometimes I do feel like it would be nice to go home and have some affection with someone.

Hopefully, after Strictly when I’ve had a few people slide into the DMs and lockdown is no longer, I’ll have more time for that.

At the moment I don’t even have the time to check my DMs, so I have no idea if I’ve received more messages since starting Strictly! But I’ll have a look through and fill you guys in next week…
