Mark Labbett, 55, is well known as one of the Chasers in the ITV hit quiz show. However, it seems like the star has his sights set higher-things as he dropped a hint about a new role.
Mark is good friends with comedian Jack Whitehall, with the latter once confessing he had a “man crush” on the quizzer.
Therefore, now Jack is hitting Hollywood heights with his upcoming film, Mark posed a cheeky request.
Earlier today, Jack shared a look at his new film Jungle Cruise, which is out in July.
The Disney film stars Jack alongside Hollywood actors like Emily Blunt and The Rock.
Replying to his video, Mark cheekily asked whether he might be able to land a role in the sequel.
He penned in view of his 143,000 followers: “Looks amazing bud.
“In my new buff dad bod can I apply to be a henchman for the sequel? :)”
Mark has recently unveiled his impressive weight loss as the quizzer shed 63 kilograms in a year.
Known as the Beast on the ITV quiz show, Mark has been sharing his journey with his followers on social media.
Talking to Loose Women about this earlier this year, he explained how he lost the weight.
He said: “I’ve been mainly 25-26 stone up until before the lockdown.
“And the lockdown for several factors came together nicely and the weight has just fallen off.”
At the time, Mark also added how running around after his toddler helped.
He continued: “I just found by the end of the evening, instead of going to the fridge for a bit of late night snacking, all I could do was collapse in a heap on the bed.”
While Jack has yet to reply, it seems like Mark could be eyeing up some acting roles.
He is already about to make an impact on US screens after landing a role in the American version of The Chase.
He’s joined the ABC adaptation in its second series this year.
Mark recently updated his fans on the news as he spoke about filming episodes.
He tweeted on May 23: “Finished taping season two of the Chase ABC.
“We made a few good shows and a lot of great shows 🙂
“Hope you like them USA @thechaseabc @ABCNetwork #thechaseusa #3goatsand1beast.”
