Timothée Chalamet smashes into camera while filming in New York

Timothée Chalamet appeared to avoid serious injury after smashing into a camera while filming an advert in New York City.

The Wonka star, 27, seems to feature heavily in the new commercial, titled Vertigo, which is being directed by Goodfellas legend Martin Scorsese.

Footage shared on social media shows the moment the actor collided with the camera, breaking something off the pricey piece of equipment.

Onlookers gasped after the on-set accident as Timothée’s co-stars comforted the actor who looked visibly uncomfortable following the crash.

He appeared to awkwardly smile as he picked up a piece which had fallen from the camera while recovering from the blow to his stomach.

One of the actors appeared to say “sorry, sorry” during the accident, telling Timothée that she was “a mother” while checking he was okay.

Video from the scene shows Call Me by Your Name star Timothée telling staff that he was “good” after the camera collision.

Fans flocked to the post’s comments after the viral video was shared on Twitter.

One user @canudosumn4me wrote: “no but what is the woman with the green jacket doing.”

While @Itsarih69 added: “that camera man have to get sued cuz he just hit a fine piece of an art.”

The incident comes after rumours that Timothée is dating make-up mogul Kylie Jenner.

She is thought to have seen “potential” in Chalamet and is said to think he’s “really sweet”.

The 25-year-old, according to an insider, isn’t quite “over” Travis Scott just yet.

A source told Us Weekly: “Part of her dating Timothée is in hopes of moving on from Travis, but that hasn’t happened yet.

“There’s always a possibility of reconciling with Travis at some point.”
