Coronation Street cast member Tina O’Brien, 36, addressed the shocking comments on Instagram, after the soap star was pictured out and about in Manchester. The ITV favourite was spotted wearing a pair of denim shorts and a vest top, which she teamed with a pair of trainers.
Taking to the picture-sharing site, the Sarah Platt actress reposted the set of candid shots alongside a series of shock comments.
One troll asked: “Did she get a fat transplant. She should be ashamed of herself.”
Another commentator wrote: “She got fat!”
Following the remarks, Tina posted a heartfelt message and said she feels “love and gratitude” despite the cruel jibes.
In view of her 443,000 followers, the Corrie star penned: “I should feel ashamed?
“And we wonder why people, especially women struggle with self esteem.
“Instead I choose to feel love and gratitude for my healthy body that allows me to run around the garden with my son and bounce on the trampoline with my daughter.”
Tina finished: “I choose love and acceptance.”
Fans and celebrity pals alike flocked to comment on the post, with many people praising the small-screen star.
Ex Corrie co-star Lucy Fallon wrote: “Tina! You’re one of the most incredible women I’ve ever met. (And you’re beautiful) We don’t listen to them.”
“Ah babe ignore the trolls you look amazing! Love you,” Lucy-Jo Hudson commented.
A fan penned: “I would LOVE your figure. A lot of hate is fuelled by jealousy, your beautiful, ignore the trolls.”(sic)

It comes after Tina basked in the warm September temperatures as she was pictured leaving Media City in Salford.
The Weatherfield star showcased her toned frame as she visited the set for filming.
She teamed a casual summer outfit with white trainers and a black rucksack, as she strutted her stuff and chatted with fans.
Meanwhile, her co-star Jack P.Shepherd looked casual in a pair of jeans and a pink T-shirt.
The David Platt actor has worked alongside his on-screen sister Tina for the past two decades.
Coronation Street recently returned to filming following the coronavirus pandemic which halted production.
However, the team has been urged to follow strict social distancing guidelines.
