Tool’s ‘Fear Inoculum’ Named Top Rock Album At BBMAs

Tool‘s Fear Inoculum won the award for top rock album at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards.

Fear Inoculum was released in 2019, becoming the band’s first new album after a gap of 13 years.

“7empest,” a track from Fear Inoculum, had won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance earlier this year.

Fear Inoculum had topped Billboard‘s album chart. It was Tool’s third album to rise to such a great height.

Albums by the Lumineers, Slipknot, Tame Impala and Vampire Weekend were also nominated in the Top Rock Album category.

Tool had also received a nomination for Top Rock Artist, which was won by Panic! At The Disco.

The award ceremony was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday with no live audience.

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards show was originally scheduled for April 29 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
