Wayne and Coleen Rooney ‘proud’ of eldest son Kai as he signs youth contract with Manchester United

Wayne and Coleen Rooney's oldest son Kai, who turned 11 last month, has put pen to paper on a contract with Manchester United's Red Devils.
The football star, 35, broke Old Trafford's goalscoring record and won the Premier League on five occasions as well as the Champions League when he spent 13 years at Old Trafford.
Wayne's son Kai has now signed a youth contract with Manchester United.

The dad-of-four is delighted to see his son follow in his footsteps as he shared the exciting news on Instagram with pictures of himself, Kai and his wife Coleen moments after signing the contract.
The first picture showed Wayne and Coleen, 33, standing with Kai in front of them sitting down and holding a pen to paper.
The second saw the youngster smiling as he sat down with a Rooney T-shirt and the contract in front of him.

Fans then saw the third snap of Wayne and Kai grinning for the camera as they both held up the same T-shirt.
Wayne shared the exciting moment with the caption: "Proud day. Kai signing for Manchester United. Keep up the hard work son."
Wayne was only a few years older than Kai when he joined Everton as a 16-year-old before joining Manchester United a couple of years later.

It wasn't long before many of Wayne's celebrity pals and footballers weighed in to congratulate Kai.
John Terry wrote underneath: "@waynerooney Love This," followed by John Bishop who said: "Congratulations."
Joe Wicks commented: "Incredible. Congratulations mate," while Jamie Redknapp added: "Love it."
Andy Ansah also shared: "Congratulations Kai enjoy the journey."
Wayne is currently the player-manger of Championship side Derby County, meaning one day he could end up managing Kai at Manchester United.
The Rooney's have four children, Kai, 11, Klay, seven, Kit, four and 2-year-old Cass.
