Aldi launches its Specialbuys range every Thursday and Sunday, and the products usually go on sale at 8am. This weekend, the discount retailer is introducing a brand-new product to its range that is similar to its hanging egg chair, but smaller.

From Sunday, May 23, Aldi customers will be able to buy a hanging egg chair for their cat or other small pets.

The product comes as part of Aldi’s new pet range and will be available to pre-order this weekend.

Costing £34.99, the chair is made of natural hand-woven wicker and is supported by a metal frame.

A removable inner cushion is also included.

The basket is big enough to fit one large cat or two small cats, allowing your much-loved pets to sleep in both comfort and style.

Aldi expects the pet hanging egg chair to sell out fast, especially as its original hanging egg chair is so popular.

The past few times the human hanging egg chair has been on sale, it has sold out within minutes, with customers waiting for hours in a virtual queue to get their hands on the item.

The original hanging egg chair costs £149.99 and comes with grey cushions.

Wayfair also sells hanging egg chairs, including versions for pets.

However, Wayfair’s model costs £60, therefore Aldi’s chair is £25 cheaper and features the hanging element.

Aldi’s new pet range includes other items for pets and other animals, such as pet beds and dog toys.

Since the pet range is eco-friendly, these products are made of recyclable materials.

The recycled pet beds start from £12.99, whole the dog toys are priced from £3.49.

For their cats, customers can also opt for a cat igloo for £24.99, which is essentially the egg chair but without the hanging feature.

The igloo is again made of wicker and has a handle at the top, making it easily transportable.

It also features a black metal door so that owners can keep their cat safely and securely inside.

Other products in the eco pet range include a recycled dog coat for £4.99 in either grey or blue, and a recycled dog harness made from either PPE plastic bottles or bamboo.

There will also be bamboo pet bowls for £3.99 on sale on Sunday, as well as a pet gate.

The per gate will be available online only and will cost £34.99.

Both the cat egg chair and the rattan cat igloo will also only be available to buy online.
