Amber Turner gets perfect salon eyebrows using £12.99 peel-off dye

Are you well jel of Amber Turner’s salon-looking eyebrows? The TOWIE star has been turning to all sorts of DIY beauty treatments in lockdown, and the latest is this rather bizarre-looking brow tint – which has resulted in expert results.

Don’t worry if, like us, it looked a little scary at first – the thick black Sharpie-like effect is only temporary. Amber has been using Maybelline Tattoo Brow, £12.99 here and here which is painted on then peeled off to reveal freshly tinted eyebrows which last for up to three days.

In a hilarious new Instagram video, displaying her jet-black lacquered brows, Amber says, ‘‘Back to tinting my eyebrows! I had so many people ask me what the tint was. It’s Maybelline Tattoo Brow, I think it’s the medium shade."

"You literally just peel it off," she adds. "After a few days [the tint] goes a little bit red but is anyone that bothered? It’s nothing to freak out about."

The video then shows the glamorous star peeling the product away from her newly-tinted eyebrows – and sounding rather chuffed with her efforts. "Boom! Oh wow, fantastic!" she beams.

The brow tint comes in three shades and the official pack advice is to leave the product on for at least 20 minutes, or up to two hours for "super-long wear". However Amber admits, "I’m pretty sure I leave it on for double what it says. It's not going to tint your eyebrows ridiculously."

As well as tinting her brows, Amber has been busy with the tweezers too. "Obviously I’ve done a DIY shape," she says. "Eyebrows are meant to be sisters not twins so they’re not identical but who cares? Not me!"

It’s certainly far more successful than her previous "DIY beauty with Ambs" effort, which involved her attempting to remove her acrylic nails. "They look tragic," she admits.

Well, you win some, you lose some, Amber. Keep the videos coming – we love them!
