HT: ARSENAL 0-0 VILLARREAL
All goalless at the Emirates but quite a lot to take from the first 45 minutes.
Villarreal came close to an opener twice when Samuel Chukwueze's beautiful curling shot forced an acrobatic save from Bernd Leno and Dani Parejo's stunning free-kick just missed the crossbar.
But Arsenal also caused danger when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired a clever shot inside the box with the outside of his right foot and rattled Geronimo Rulli's bar down his bottom right corner.
The Yellow Submarine, though, were unlucky as they lost Chukwueze to an injury and Unai Emery replaced him with Yeremi Pino
