Caroline Quentin, 60, has had a lengthy career being an actress. She became known for her television appearances like Men Behaving Badly, Jonathan Creek and Blue Murder. She started her career in theatre with an original English production of the musical Les Miserables in 1985. How much has she earned throughout her career?

Thanks to her successful acting career, Caroline has built a huge fortune. 

According to Idol Networth, Caroline is worth a whopping £13.9million.

After a few years in theatre, the actress turned to television where she was to play Maddie Magellan in Jonathan Creek until 2000.

She then appeared in telefilm Hot Money which was based on the true story of the theft of hundreds of thousands of pounds from the Bank of England.

In 2004, Caroline won the ‘Best Comedy Actress’ award at the British Comedy Awards for her performance in Von Trapped. 

The same year she started her major role of Maggie Mae in popular drama Life Begins, which returned for a third series two years later.

The actress also starred as Heather Babcock in an episode of Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple in 2010.

Her other credits include Kiss Me Kate, Life Begins, Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Mr. Bean.

Aside from the acting career, Caroline has added to her fortune by partnering with various companies to advertise their products.

In 2010, she appeared in Marks & Spencer’s revamped food range advertisements. 

Earlier this year, Caroline had a guest role in BBC comedy The Other One and competed in Channel 4’s Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer where she narrowly missed out on star baker. 

Fast forward to October, Caroline is now starring in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing which is back on our screens for the 18th series. 

A bit different to usual this year, the contestants are performing with a small audience due to the pandemic and all the performances are pre-recorded. 

Performing alongside her professional dance partner Johannes Radebe who won the nation’s heart last year when he took to the dance floor with former Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley. 

In her personal life, Caroline married actor and comedian Paul Merton in 1990 who is known for Have I Got News For You.

The couple were together for eight years before splitting in 1998.

In 2006, the actress then married Sam Farmer who is 11 years younger than Caroline.

The couple met while working on Men Behaving Badly where Sam was working as a runner on the show. 

They got married in Devon and have two children together, Emily Rose and William.

The couple live together in an upmarket area of Surrey called Reigate. 

She has her own vegetable patch in her garden where she grows all of her own crops that she uses in her cooking. 

Strictly Come Dancing returns to screens tonight on BBC at 7:25pm.
