Clarks Originals Presents Its Celebratory “Jamaica Pack”

Clarks Originals’ affiliation with Jamaican culture is one of purity. After becoming synonymous with Dancehall events and Jamaican Rude Boy culture in the 1960s, the British footwear brand has remained a staple across the Caribbean island ever since.

Throughout the 1970s, the pair’s connection even went as far as defying government laws, when secret trade routes from Somerset to Kingston were created to continue an import of shoes following a ban on foreign-made footwear across Jamaica.

Now paying homage to these stories, Clarks Originals presents its new “Jamaica Pack” for Spring 2021. Comprising the Desert Boot, Desert Trek and the unfathomable Wallabee, each shoe is dressed in shades of yellow, green and black as a nod to the Jamaican national flag.

Every colorful premium suede upper sits atop the archetypal Clarks Originals crepe sole, and boasts subtle Jamaican-inspired graphics across each silhouette.

In addition, Clarks Originals has provided the pupils of Maverley School, Kingston, Jamaica, with a new pair of shoes as a part of the brand’s on-going community partnership.

The full “Jamaica Pack” is available at Clarks USA, Clarks UK and Clarks EUnow, while the full Jamaica campaign set to begin on 19 April.
