Corrie icons send fans wild as they reunite in ‘classic’ line-up for glam snap
Coronation Street stars past and present reunited for a superstar lunch this week, and their delighted fans have branded it a 'classic' line-up.
This comes as Loose Women host Denise, who starred as Natalie Barnes in Corrie in the late 90s and now plays Trish Minniver in Hollyoaks, met up with soap legends Sally Dynevor, Jane Danson, Angela Lonsdale and Nikki Sanderson in the Cheshire town of Knutsford.
And it was also a case of when Corrie met Hollyoaks as some of the stars now spend their days filming for the Channel 4 soap instead.
Denise Welch took to social media to give her soap fans a glimpse at the lovely ladies lunch, and the ITV drama stars seemed to be having a great time in each other's company.
Taking to Instagram, Denise and her old Corrie cohort struck a playful dancing pose in the pub garden, penning the caption: "Not quite lunch on the cobbles but on the paving stones!!!" she shared alongside the video of them all giving a shimmy for the camera.
Mentioning her long-term friendship with Angela, she added how close they were and how they never stop talking.
She added: "Friends for 24 yrs (30 for Ang and me) and still never a pause for breath!!".
For those who aren't quite sure, Sally plays Sally Metcalfe in Corrie alongside Jane who portrays Leanne in the ITV soap while Nikki is Denise's on-screen daughter Maxine Minniver in Hollyoaks.
Angela is best known for playing police officer Emma Taylor on Coronation Street and ended up marrying Curly Watts.
And fans loved seeing the ladies together with Denise even commenting: "Lovely comments," alongside multiple red heart emojis.
One follower saw the significance of the reunion for fans like them and wrote: "This is incredible for any Corrie fan,".

Another happy fan said: "This makes me smile."
"Ah that's lovely. Quite the cast there Denise," a third added.
A fourth commented: "We love to see it." with another adding: "So lovely to see everyone together again! Like classic Corrie!"
And another former Corrie star was there in spirit, as the familiar face got involved in the comments too.
Ryan Thomas, who played Jason Grimshaw in the ITV soap, chimed in by saying: "Is that me on the phone @sallydynevor," as Sally firmly gripped her phone in the moving snap.
