Doctor Who actress Tanya Fear has been found after going missing in Hollywood last Thursday.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) announced on Monday that the star had been found, according to US news outlet FOX 11.
Tanya, who is best known for playing Dr Jade McIntyre in BBC sci-fi show Doctor Who, was reported missing on Thursday, September 9th.
A spokesperson for the LAPD reportedly confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly, informing them that the "family has been notified".
No other updates were offered at this time to the publication.
Her friends and family immediately launched a social media campaign to locate her, as they said they had not heard from her since last week.
The @FindTanyaFear Twitter account set up by her family tweeted in response to the news report, however: "Please the family haven’t confirmed this yet. Please wait for an official update. Thanks."
Speaking to EW, Tanya's manager Alex Cole added: "We will have a statement shortly once we have confirmation ourselves."
A poster for the ongoing search stated she had been sighted on Hollywood Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard, North La Brea Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in LA.
She was said to be wearing a "light brown/caramel colour short sleeve shirt with a collar" and "dark plaid bottoms with red and white stripes".
The star had allegedly been in good spirits when she was appearing on the comedy club circuit in Hollywood before her disappearance, according to her manager.
In a statement released online, Tanya's 'devastated' family wrote: "The family of Tanya Fear are asking the Los Angeles Police Department to investigate the disappearance of the British actor.
"Tanya Fear left her Hollywood Bowl apartment on Thursday the 9th of September without her cell phone and purse. She was reported missing by a friend."
Tanya's mum Yvonne Marimo added: "I am devastated about this situation, and I appeal to anyone with information to please come forward to bring our daughter back home safely."
Her uncle Jonathan Marico said: "We are deeply worried about Tanya's whereabouts, she is a bubbly, intelligent young woman who studied at Christ Hospital Boarding School and Kings College University in London."
Tanya has been living in LA for the past year on and off, after moving to the United States following her Doctor Who stint.
She has been focusing on building her career in acting, screen writing and comedy in the showbiz capital.
Along with her role in Doctor Who, Tanya has also appeared in various British shows including Endeavour, Midsomer Murders and DCI Banks.
