Freddie Gibbs and Benny The Butcher Take Their Talents to South Beach in "Frank Lucas" Visual
Freddie Gibbs and Benny The Butcher have shared a music video for “Frank Lucas,” produced by The Alchemist for his and Gibbs’ collaborative album Alfredo.
Directed by Will Gates, the accompanying visual sees the pair enjoying the waters of Miami and everything else the city has to offer. Gibbs can also be seen rapping in front of his own mural that depicts him in a ritzy mob boss outfit, connecting him to the song’s namesake, gangster Frank Lucas.
Speaking to HYPEBEAST about the themes of fatherhood both in “Frank Lucas” and Alfredo, Gibbs said, “Being a father changed the way I rap because I used to rap like I ain’t have nothing to lose. Now I have everything in the world to lose because I have beautiful children and a good family structure. My daughter’s special. My son is special, man.”
