Iceland launches new footlong vegan sausage roll alongside Greggs options

The New Year is a great time for new starts, trying something different and changing old habits.

And, Iceland has released a brand range of vegan goodies to help all those foodies trying out Veganuary.

The supermarket has launched a jumbo, footlong vegan sausage roll, which costs just £1.50 for a pack of two.

The frozen food retailer’s No Porkies Footlong Sausage Rolls are the ultimate snack for vegans and flexitarians alike for Veganuary.

Featuring 12 inches of flaky, golden pastry wrapped around seasoned, plant-based sausage meat that can be cooked in the oven from frozen in just 25 minutes.

Iceland’s No Porkies Footlong Sausage Rolls are just the treat for those seeking a better start to 2021.

The 12-inch sausage rolls are long enough to share; although shoppers might not want to once they’ve bitten into this vegan British classic.

Plus, taste buds are also set to tingle at the thought of Iceland’s new No Chick Southern Fried Strips (£3.00, 450g) this month.

Each individual bite of vegetable protein is coated in a deliciously crunchy southern fried-style breadcrumb, making them ideal for a flavoursome vegan-friendly snack.

They go great with salad or a cheeky portion of chips.

Finally, Iceland also recently launched an exclusive frozen Greggs vegan range, including the now legendary Greggs Vegan Sausage Rolls (£2.50, 4pk) and Greggs Vegan Steak Bakes (£2.50, 2pk).

Both products feature golden layers of crisp puff pastry and a delicious filling of seasoned Quorn, which can be baked at home for a handy lunch.

So, there’s no need to be sad that you can’t nip to Greggs on your lunch break.

All of these vegan items are available in-store and online now.
