Inside Kate and Rio Ferdinand’s lavish home as they prepare to welcome their first child

Kate Ferdinand, nee Wright, is married to football legend Rio Ferdinand and they have recently shared the exciting news that they are having a baby.

The pair, who married in a lavish ceremony three-day ceremony in Turkey, announced the news to Rio's three children; Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, nine, last week and captured the whole thing in an adorable video.

Now that there is to be a fourth child living in their lavish London home, no doubt the family will have to revamp at least one of the rooms.

Luckily, however, the home in which they live has an abundance of space: a large luscious garden, a gym befitting of, well, a Premier League footballer and a sprawling kitchen with plenty of communal areas.

Before their stunning abode becomes filled with the much-welcomed clutter of toys and baby equipment, let's take a look inside…

As Kate is always so glamorous it is no wonder that she has this fabulous little dressing room.

It is the perfect spot for an outfit selfie, and the star definitely has delivered many of those to her 1.3 million followers.

The room is painted off-white with a velvet pouffe in the centre of the light purple carpet.

No-one makes an entrance quite like Kate, as proven when she walked down the aisle in THAT Berta wedding dress.

Having such a grand staircase is a sure-fire way to make an entrance even if you're just popping down for some lockdown breakfast– sheer fabulousness.

Speaking of mealtimes, Rio and Kate have a very lovely kitchen, again painted white, with wooden cabinets and a marble wall.

In the centre is a large kitchen island, great for cooking what looks like three roast chickens!

Once lockdown is truly over the family will be able to use their incredible dining table for entertaining once more.

The high marble table, has sculptural marble-backed chair and there are also floor-to-ceiling cupboards, and light wooden floors.

The pair also have a lavish dining room, with another lower white marble table.

However, our eyes are firmly on the walk-in glass-fronted wine and liquor storage that lines the whole wall.

Now that is something that would come in use during lockdown but sadly not for Kate for a few months!

Rio and Kate's bed is huge and looks incredibly comfy which is lucky because they are going to need all the help napping they can get once their first child together is born.

Crisp white sheets are the one for that fresh bed feeling.

Self-professed fitness addict Kate has her own sprawling, health-club-quality gym.

Considering her husband is an ex-professional sportsman, she also has a training partner to work-out with, although we are sure she'll have to modify some of her more strenuous exercises as the baby grows.

In this snap of Kate's lockdown birthday celebrations, we can see that in the garden there is a large wooden dining table which is so low to the ground that, to sit around it, the family have to use cushions.

What a fun way to enjoy an informal meal!

The couple have a large driveway, which of course they use for working out. There is also navy painted garage doors that no doubt hide Rio's collection of sports cars.
