Inside Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas’ new Manchester home with huge garden as they add to property portfolio
Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh have added to their property portfolio by purchasing a new home in Manchester.
Former Coronation Street star Ryan, 36, purchased the property without Lucy, 29, even seeing it first, but promised fans that they would be overhauling the home as they gave a tour of the space.
The couple, who have son Roman together, already boast other properties to their name, including a family home in Essex which they reportedly spent £100,000 renovating. Lucy has also been renovating a separate buy to let property.
Lucy revealed that she and Ryan will be splitting their time 50/50 between this property and their home in Essex. She wrote on social media: “We have my house in Essex and Cheshire we had an apartment not suitable for a family. We have been house hunting for 2 years! Things always seemed to go wrong but I believe that’s because this was meant to be our home!”
The couple are now set for a new project as they take on the Edwardian property in Cheshire. Let’s take a look inside…
Lucy Mecklenburgh revealed husband-to-be Ryan Thomas bought the property without her seeing it first. But it appears he did a good job, as Lucy told fans: "New house, new project, new memories to be made. Ryan bought our new Manchester home without me viewing he is a very brave man hahahah!!!"
Lucy is seen heading into the home for the first time with step-daughter Scarlett as she joked that the front door wouldn’t open.
The home boasts a huge living room with an amazing fireplace. The family spent the first night in the home earlier this month where they set up a projector and watched movies. Bliss!
The family set up camp for the night in the front room which has a huge window where you can look out into the green garden. Gorgeous!
The fire was lit as Ryan and Lucy settled in for their first night in their new home.
Lucy shared a glimpse of the kitchen as she thanked Adam Thomas’ wife Caroline for gifting them with the essentials including a kettle and tea cups.
The pair raised a tea cup to their new venture as they overlooked the huge garden.
Lucy took fans on a tour of the basement, which she revealed she would love to renovate into a gym, utility room, wine cellar or cinema room.
There’s plenty of work to be done on the basement as Lucy shared her plans for the space.
Lucy then shared pictures of the bedrooms, revealing she wants to rip out all of the built-in wardrobes and carpets.
The bedrooms currently have green and red carpets which Lucy hopes to get rid of.
Lucy also shared a snap of the bathroom before sharing the plans to renovate the rooms.
