A one-bedroom apartment available to rent in Maidenhead for £1,000-a-month has been slammed by home hunters for looking like a garden shed.
Located in Berkshire, the poor state of the property is immediately apparent, with mud covering its exterior.
Inside, the studio flat features a small kitchen, a sink, microwave and small hob.
Described as a ‘newly-refurbished’ abode, it has a small camp bed which is bare and without a mattress.
The apartment has also come in for criticism from prospective renters because of its proximity to a sewage works.

Small cupboards and a cramped kitchen in the studio flat leave little in the way of living space
The small camp bed is bare and without a mattress, with the bed itself also being extremely small

More small cupboards at the foot of the bed give precious little space for clothes and personal items
A minuscule bathroom features a cramped toilet and sink, with a mirror notably absent here
The shower could be one of the most spacious areas in the property, which is being let by Chancellors estate agents
Chris Applegate blasted the state of the apartment, stating: ‘One thousand pounds per month for literally a shed in Maidenhead. Not even a full mattress on the ‘bed’, according to JamPress.
Is [sic] even by British slum landlord standards, gobsmacking.’
Ash Whitley said: ‘Is this a joke? £1,000 to rent a shed by the sewage works. British folks can we get a little more French please?
‘They’re taking the p*** out of us.’
One local joked: ‘Goes and measures shed in the back garden.’
The property is being let by Chancellors estate agents and advertised on Rightmove. Alongside the £1,000 monthly rental cost, a £1,154 deposit is also required.
The property description reads: ‘This lovely annex [sic] has been newly refurbished and is based just outside the town centre and only a five minute walk from the train station.
‘Benefitting from parking, private walkway entrance and offered part furnished with all bills included.’
