Marcus Jordan Confirms Another Trophy Room x Jordan Brand Project Is on the Way
Trophy Room, based in Orlando, FL and owned by Michael Jordan‘s son Marcus Jordan, has been no stranger to Air Jordan collabs. Just three months after the release of the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 High “Freeze Out” release, Marcus has confirmed that another project is in the works between the two brands. Despite the release controversy surrounding the most recent pair, Marcus has showed no signs of slowing down, announcing plans for his next project on Twitter.
Marcus shared on Twitter that he met with the Jordan design team to discuss an upcoming project stating, “Had a ‘design huddle’ today with the Jordan Brand team about the next @TrophyRoomStore x @Jumpan23 drop.” He adds that he was unsure if a new collaboration would go through, but after the meeting, he is “geeked up.”
The most recent collaboration played homage to the basketball legend’s Chicago roots, combining the white leather quarters and toeboxes with red mudguards, eyestays, collar flaps and heels. Black is featured in the mix by way of the Swooshes, ball-and-wing logos and laces. The shoe had especially garnered a lot of attention at the time of release due to the allegations that Trophy Room sold the shoes to resellers prior to the official launch date. Marcus denied doing so and instead blamed the early leaked pairs on potential thieves who may have taken them from the distribution centers.
It still remains to be seen what Trophy Room and Air Jordan have in store for their next collaboration. No concept nor a release date has been confirmed for the latest project.
In case you missed it, the latest Nike Air Max is outfitted with sherbert-like colors.
