MMA star and ex-UFC ace Johnny Case 'arrested after domestic assault on female MMA fighter'
MMA fighter Johnny Case was arrested in Las Vegas on Thursday for domestic battery, reports say.
According to TMZ Sports, online records showed the former UFC fighter was in custody in Clark County, Nevada.
Details surrounding the alleged arrest have not been released – but it is reported the alleged victim is a female MMA fighter.
Case is currently signed to the Professional Fighters League and has a fight against Loik Radzhabov on April 23.
The lightweight started his MMA career in 2007 but lost his first two bouts.
He soon turned his form around and won eight on the spin after.
In 2014, Case debuted in the UFC, beating Kazuki Tokudome before winning another three in a row in the promotion.
But consecutive setbacks, against Jake Matthews in 2016 and then to Anthony Rocco Martin a year later, saw the American leave the UFC.
Case has since campaigned around American and most recently with RIZIN in Japan.
He won his opening three fights with RIZIN but lost his last, against Tofiq Musayev in December 2019.
Case joins Radzhabov, Akhmed Aliev, Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Clay Collard, Marcin Held, Joilton Lutterbach, Mikhail Odintsov, Anthony Pettis and Natan Schulte in PFL's 2021 season.
It sees a quarters, semis and final format, with the winner rewarded with a $1million prize cheque.
