Morrisons now does made to order picnic and sandwich platters from £6

MORRISONS now does made to order picnic and sandwich platters – and prices start from £6.

The items are available for click and collect to the supermarket's stores.

Morrisons already offered a wide range of party nibbles in its made to order range, which includes 65 items in total.

But it's now added sandwich and picnic platters for two people in both adult and kids' versions.

The kids' platter, which costs £6, contains ham and cheese sandwiches, gingerbread men, fruit, cheese and snack pork rolls with carrot and cucumber batons.

While the £10 adult version includes jam and cream scones, ham and tuna and sweetcorn sandwiches, mini pork pies, cherry bakewells, strawberries and a salad.

Morrisons is also selling a classic sandwich platter with 20 pieces for £6, or you can order two for £10.

Other items in the range include a selection of 50 savoury treats for £6, or cheese fans might also like the cheese platter for a tenner.

To order, simply go on Morrisons' website and add the items you'd like to your basket.

You'll then be able to choose your nearest store and a one-hour time slot to collect your order before you pay.

Shoppers can pick up the orders in store for free.

The food has to be ordered three days in advance, so keep this in mind if you're planning a picnic with the family over the weekend.

The Sun has asked Morrisons whether the service is available from all 494 stores, and we'll update this article once we hear back.

Of course, you could buy the items individually and create the platters yourself but the Morrisons service may help if you want to save time.

Tesco usually also offers ready to go platters, but they're currently all listed as unavailable on its website.

Meanwhile Waitrose has temporarily suspended its food made to order services due to coronavirus.

Morrisons has also made a change to its meal deal, making it better value for customers.

While in March, the supermarket started delivering essential £35 boxes filled with loo roll, pasta and bread.

Morrisons shoppers can also use Deliveroo to get groceries delivered in 30 minutes.
