My husband has turned violent but I’m unable to leave him because of lockdown – The Sun
DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER my husband got drunk he punched me hard in the face.
My neighbour heard as I shouted for him to stop and she called the police.
He has never hit me before but now he regularly gets verbally abusive to me when he’s drunk.
I love this man from the bottom of my heart and I know he loves me, but I’m scared he will hit me again.
I’m 36 and he’s 33.
He’s told me again and again he’s sorry and has promised to give up the drink – though he hasn’t yet.
Neither of us can leave because of the lockdown.
