The Mysterious Girl singer, 48, vowed to remove any content relating to swimming with dolphins from his social media channels after receiving the letter from animal rights charity PETA
Earlier, he’d posted a video on The Andres YouTube channel which featured an emotional Princess Andre, 13, discussing her bucket list dream of swimming with dolphins followed by footage of her doing it
During a video posted to his social media accounts, the Mysterious Girl singer said he would replace the video, a thumbnail attached featuring Princess and the dolphins and any previous posts about swimming with dolphins.
He told his 1.7million followers: ‘I wasn’t aware of what I was about to read and I’m sure millions of other people wouldn’t be either.’
In the video, now viewed more than 330,000 times, he said: ‘We’re going to re-edit the video and remove the thumbnail so you don’t have to see dolphins in captivity.
‘What you will see is the dolphins swimming in the wild, which is beautiful.’
Andre, wearing a New York cap and aviator shades added ‘we live and learn’.
Later, Peter changed the thumbnail – which had featured Princess and the dolphins, with one of himself and his wife Emily instead
The family of six, pictured at Stansted airport, spent the half-term week in Portugal
PETA responded to the video, saying: ‘Once we know better, we can do better.
‘Thank you for your honesty and your openness to being educated about these facilities. We’re so grateful to you for helping to spread the word.’
