    GOOD MORNING

Jesse Lingard is finally set to depart Manchester United by joining West Ham on loan until the end of the season.

Sky Sports claim the Hammers have agreed a deal to sign him, with the club forking out £3million to bring him to the London Stadium.

In other news, Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly edging closer to completing the signing of Demarai Gray from Leicester.

The Foxes are keen to sell the winger as he has just six months left on his deal at the King Power Stadium.

Leverkusen are confident of wrapping up his signature in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough have confirmed the arrival of Yannick Bolasie on loan from Everton.

The 31-year-old winger has not played a single minute for the Toffees this term after Carlo Ancelotti left him out of his 25-man Premier League squad.

Also, Inter Milan are reportedly looking to ship out flop striker Alexis Sanchez.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano is reporting that ‘Inter and Roma are considering a possible swap deal between Alexis Sanchez and Edin Dzeko’.

He reports that both clubs are ‘in contact’ but the talks are still at an early stage.

And finally, West Brom are reportedly closing in on the loan signing of Mbaye Diagne from Galatasaray.

The 29-year-old striker has completed his medical in Turkey ahead of the move.

It is understood that he is now waiting for a work permit before he travels to England.

    GRAY MATTER

Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly edging closer to completing the signing of Demarai Gray from Leicester.

The Foxes are keen to sell the winger as he has just six months left on his deal at the King Power Stadium.

And Sky Sports insist that Leverkusen are confident of wrapping up his signature in the next 24 hours.

    ED HUNTER

Man Utd have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Edin Dzeko – who played for rivals City.

Dzeko, 34, is up for sale at Roma after being axed by boss Paulo Fonseca.

And Corriere dello Sport claims Dzeko could now be on his way to title hopefuls United.

It’s believed the pair clashed over the exit of popular backroom staff man Gianluca Combar.

And Dzeko is now training alone after being left out of Saturday’s 4-3 win against Spezia.

    HORNETS STING

Watford have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Rob Elliot on a free transfer.

The 34-year-old has been without a club since being released from Newcastle last summer.

But he has returned to football by penning a short-term deal with the Hornets.

    PARK IT IN

Fulham boss Scott Parker has revealed it is unlikely the club will sign a new striker before the end of the window.

He said: "We all understand where we may need help with the squad, but whether that happens I'm not confident.

"I think we need that in that area because we're light in numbers.

"We have one recognised striker at our football club in Aleks and he's been fantastic for us. (Ivan) Cavaleiro has been playing as a nine for us as well and has done remarkably well.

"I feel for competition to help the team evolve in this division, it is an area we need to look at. At the same time I also understand how difficult it is in this present time."

    GARD OF HONOUR

    BREAKING

Sky Sports have claimed that West Ham have agreed a loan deal to sign Jesse Lingard until the end of the season.

David Moyes has been keen on bringing the player to London all window.

And it now looks like they have finally got their man.

The loan deal is believed to be worth more than £3million.

    GIVE ME NOU-THING

Man City centre-back Eric Garcia is tipped to rejoin Barcelona and play for NOTHING until the summer.

Nou Camp presidential candidate Victor Font also believes City will accept just 3million euros (£2.65million) for the four-cap Spain star, 20.

TalkSPORT quote Font as saying: “Eric García is ready to make an effort [to leave City this month] and not be paid this season

“The movements we have made lead us to understand that the signing is possible now, the club can manage it financially.

“Ronald Koeman and our sporting structure consider his signing fundamental to aspire to win titles this season. So we ask the managing committee to sign Eric this week.

"Why not sign him? If he’s ready to not be paid this season… City will accept €3 million plus variables. How do we motivate Koeman if the only request he’s made is denied?”

    LET'S BAG HIM

West Brom are reportedly closing in on the loan signing of Mbaye Diagne from Galatasaray.

According to Sky Sports, the 29-year-old striker has completed his medical in Turkey ahead of the move.

They claim that he is now waiting for a work permit before he travels to England.

Diagne has been in fine form this season – chipping in with nine goals in 11 Super Lig matches.

    CHRIS CROSS

Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton is stunned after Dan Gosling turned down a move from Bournemouth.

Midfield dynamo Gosling was set to move for more first team football and the Cherries let him go for talks to make way for the arrival of Ben Pearson from Preston.

However Gosling, who is a free agent in the summer, had a change of mind and opted to turn down the switch.

Bournemouth want to move for Preston contract rebel Pearson who is refusing to sign a new deal and could now be sold for around £250,000 plus extras.

    SAN STORM

Inter Milan are reportedly looking to ship out flop striker Alexis Sanchez.

Only five months after completing a permanent deal for Sanchez from Manchester United, it appears his days at the San Siro are numbered.

But he could be replaced by another former Premier League star.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano is reporting that 'Inter and Roma are considering a possible swap deal between Alexis Sanchez and Edin Dzeko'.

He reports that both clubs are 'in contact' but the talks are still at an early stage.

Sanchez has started only seven Serie A games for Inter this season, coming off the bench five times.

    ADAMANT ADAMS

Tony Adams has slammed Arsenal’s recruitment policy and says the club will get nowhere signing the likes of Willian.

He told Stadium Astro: “Why have you brought Willian into the squad? If you have got him just to make up the numbers because he has got a bit of experience, where are you going with that?

“I have cried out about the recruitment on more than one occasion. Edu is very inexperienced and they were heavily reliant on agents to get players into the club.

“All of a sudden you have got Willian, Cedric, all the same agent. We have got so many kids coming through, don’t buy these players!

“You spot areas of the squad that are weak. You don’t go and get Willian on a three-year contract, that is going nowhere. That is really poor sports directorship.

“We all get ones wrong, but if you are building a club to win the league then you don’t fill up areas when you have good kids coming through.”

    LING SHOT

Jesse Lingard’s loan move from Manchester United to West Ham is finally set to go through.

The England international midfielder has only appeared three times this season, all in cup competitions, and has managed just one league goal in over two years.

The 28-year-old was left out of the RedDevils’ squad last night for the shock 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield United.

Now he is reportedly heading to the Hammers for some much-needed gametime under ex-United boss David Moyes.

That is according to The Athletic, who claim West Ham will pay a loan fee of around £1m for the ace.

    SPURRED ON

Tottenham youngster Malachi Fagan-Walcott has linked up with Scottish side Dundee on loan.

The 18-year-old centre-back has featured twice for the club's U23's this season.

    BORDE GAMES

West Ham are reportedly plotting a late transfer swoop for Montpellier star Gaetan Laborde.

Le10Sport claims David Moyes has identified the striker, 26, as the perfect replacement for Sebastien Haller, who left for Ajax earlier this month.

Laborde is in his third season with Montpellier and has scored 20 goals in 75 games.

However, he has made just four appearances this term.

And West Ham are ready to take advantage of his lack of minutes by fielding an offer shortly.

Montpellier are equally happy to do business with the Hammers, who are fourth in the table after a stunning season.

    CHERRY PICKED

Bournemouth are closing in on Preston’s Ben Pearson.

The Cherries will pay a small fee to take the ex-Manchester United midfielder, 26, now rather than in the summer, when his North End contract expires.

He will be Jason Tindall’s second signing of the January window following the return of Jack Wilshere to the South Coast club.

    WAITING FOR A MAIT

Ainsley Maitland-Niles wants to leave Arsenal on loan this month, according to reports.

The versatile Gunners man is said to be looking for game time to secure his place in England’s Euro 2021 squad this summer.

Gareth Southgate has made it clear he will only pick players playing regularly for their club sides.

And with Maitland-Niles’ opportunities being limited under Mikel Arteta, he is keen on a temporary move away, according to the Mirror.

The 23-year-old has been a regular fixture for England in recent months and greatly values his Three Lions career.

    KIER WE GO

Manchester United remain interested in Kieran Trippier and Max Aarons, according to reports.

    Aaron Wan-Bissaka is boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-choice right-back.

But the Norwegian wants to recruit competition for the 23-year-old.

And should AC Milan decide to make Diogo Dalot’s loan switch permanent at the end of the season, United have a pretty good idea of who they will try to recruit.

According to Forbes, both Trippier and Aarons are on the Red Devils’ radar – despite their difference in profiles.

    SEIZE THE DAYOT

Manchester United will compete with several rivals for Dayot Upamecano this summer, according to reports.

Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Liverpool have all been linked with the Frenchman following his rapid rise at RB Leipzig.

Upamecano was an integral part of the Bundesliga side’s run to last year’s Champions League semi-finals.

But it appears as though this season will be his last at Leipzig with a new contract agreed in 2020 containing a bargain release clause.

The centre-back will be available for £38million when the clause activates at the end of the campaign.

Therefore, clubs are expected to hold off on negotiating a deal until the summer.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, United are among the teams waiting for the right moment to pounce.

    BOL IS ROLLING

Middlesbrough have confirmed the signing of Yannick Bolasie on loan from Everton.

He looked to be on his way to the Riverside on October’s transfer deadline day only for the move to break down at the last minute – leaving both the player and Boro boss Neil Warnock frustrated.

Now the veteran, who managed the attacker at Crystal Palace, has finally got his man in a transfer exclusively reported by SunSport last month after persuading him to snub a move to Turkey for the Riverside.

    PREST FOR TIME

Ben Davies is set to join Celtic – it is just a matter of when, REPORTS TOM BARCLAY.

The Preston defender was expected to move to the Scottish champions when his contract expires at the end of the season.

But due to injury problems in defence, Neil Lennon is pushing to bring the 25-year-old in this month instead.

An agreement will have to be thrashed out if that is to happen though and is by no means guaranteed.

Celtic will be without key central defender Christopher Jullien for the next four months due to a knee injury.

    DAW OPEN

Watford have offered West Ham the option of making Craig Dawson's loan move permanent before the transfer window closes, REPORTS DUNCAN WRIGHT.

Dawson joined the Hammers for the season in October as nothing more than squad cover in defence for David Moyes.

But the 30-year-old has taken his chance with a string of impressive performances which has cemented himself as first choice in the side.

Now Watford are prepared to bring forward the option on West Ham signing him on a permanent basis, knowing it will help provide them with funds mid-season.

A fee close to £3million has been asked for, though the Premier League club are under no obligation to complete the deal now and may prefer to wait until the summer.

But if they were to tie the centre-back down long-term, it would free up a domestic loan spot which they can then utilise by bringing in someone else to boost their push for a top six finish.

    CHRIST THE REDEEMER

Christian Eriksen looks set to STAY at Inter Milan.

The former Spurs star had been set for the exit after struggling for game time under Antonio Conte at the San Siro.

But after the Dane scored a stunning free-kick against rivals AC Milan this week, Conte has ruled out a move away.

The Italian told RAI Sport: "'For a month now I've been saying the same thing: this is the Inter squad. Nobody will arrive, nobody will leave. I keep saying it and nobody seems to believe me.

"We are working with Eriksen on a tactical level to find an alternative for [Marcelo] Brozovic, because we don't have someone like that in the squad.

"Christian is a very intelligent lad, he has quality, he's part of the project and I am happy he scored that goal. I really wanted him to take it, as we all know the quality he has from set plays."

    CHERRY PICKING

Midfield dynamo Gosling is ready to move for more first team football and the Cherries will let him go to make way for a possible new arrival.

Gosling is due to tie up a switch until the end of the season with Forest after a medical and go straight into their squad.

Bournemouth want to move for Preston contract rebel Ben Pearson who is refusing to sign a new deal and could now be sold for around £500,000.

    COME MON!

Monaco are poised to rescue Arsenal's on loan midfielder Lucas Torreira from the wilderness at Atletico Madrid.

The Uruguayan went the other way on the day Thomas Partey arrived at the Emirates in October.

But he has been restricted to just TWO LaLiga starts by Diego Simeone this season.

The Gunners are unhappy with the situation and are looking at other options for the rest of the season.

AS reports Monaco are in the best position to broker a deal for the rest of the year before Monday's transfer deadline.
