US racing tips: Templegate’s best bets for the meeting at Gulfstream on Sky Sports Racing on Friday – The Sun
WORDMAN has shown promise on his two starts so far over five furlongs here, finishing a decent third each time. Today’s rider Luis Saez has been riding winners left, right and centre in the past couple of weeks and he can make the most of a handy inside draw. He shapes as though this longer trip will suit.
Punchline clocked the best time of his brief career when beaten just over a length on this turf track latest. Top rider Tyler Gaffalione takes over today and he has a high strike-rate for the yard.
Extremelyexclusive is dropping in grade after a close-up fifth on debut and is another to consider.
LUCKY AS A SEVEN comes from two-year-old king Wesley Ward and should know his job on this debut. He has shown promise in his trackwork and clocked a decent time in a gallop last week. This inside draw is another plus.
Highly Noted comes from another trainer in Gilberto Zerpa who does well with his newcomers. He has an impressive 30% strike-rate with horses making their racecourse debut. He went well in his final gallop last week too.
Congrats Again will have to be sharp out of the stalls from box eight but has been working well and his jockey-trainer team have been having lots of winners.

VERDICT IS IN has been consistent with two wins and two places from his past six outings. He takes a fair drop in class today despite finishing a fair third over course and distance last time out. He had to sit and suffer so was a little unlucky not to get closer. A repeat of that effort should be good enough.
Interest battled home to score by a nose on this turf track earlier this month when holding on well at the line. This is similar company so she should be competitive for her new trainer.
Bahamian Park didn’t get going last time after a break but was knocking on the door earlier and should be fitter now.
BRAND has the ideal inside draw and has been showing enough in his track workouts to suggest he can make the most of it. He was green when fifth here latest but that was just his second run so there should be a lot more to come.
Hail Michigan is drawn right on the other side, which could make life difficult, but he took a big step forward when beaten less than a length switched back to this dirt track here latest. He has worked well since then so should be nice and sharp.
See The Pyramids is coming down in grade and has been showing some promise on grass.
FENTYNOLA was in winning form earlier this season when winning on the turf track. He has been running in much better races than this and could improve for the switch to the dirt with a top jockey taking over.
Deckology will be a threat on the inside as he also has his sights lowered a fair amount. That was over a mile, which was clearly too far, so this shorter trip should be ideal.
Free Flayme has been running well in races like this and was fourth here last time on the back of a close second. He needs more to win but could easily hit the frame again.
AWESOME ELLA has shown bits and pieces of form at Del Mar in California where she was sent off favourite when beaten three lengths latest. She’s had a break since then but has put in some fair trackwork and has been clocking the best times in the field.
Mo Of The West was backed on debut before finishing fifth so had clearly been showing something at home. She has the ideal inside draw today with a top jockey in the saddle so should improve.
Aizu went close over a similar distance on this turf track latest when not getting the run of the race. There should be more to come after just three starts.
AWESOME PARTY won at Aqueduct in February on just his second run in a much higher class than this. He wasn’t asked too many questions when fourth on course debut last time and should have more to offer.
Chasing The Candy can be forgiven one poor run in stronger company latest as he has some good form at this level. He won by five lengths over this trip at Laurel Park three runs ago and something like that performance would put him right in the mix.
Still Schemin was a comfortable winner on the turf track here last time and he would be a threat if repeating that on dirt.
DALARNA just failed to make it four wins in a row here last time when run out of it in the final few yards. It’s interesting that top rider Luis Saez gets on board today and he can make the most of the plum inside draw.
Flowmotion is in cracking form too with a couple of wins over course and distance. He is a real battler and has proven his liking for this grade so should be right there.
High Noon Rider was also in winning form here latest, coming home first in a similar race to this. His yard has been scoring left, right and centre in recent weeks.
SNAP HOOK can make the most being drawn on the inside as he takes a wise drop in grade. He has been running well in better races including when fourth on the turf track here last time. His best efforts have come on dirt and he won’t be far away on his second Gulfstream outing.
Cowboy Bob takes on stronger company here but got the job done well when scoring by almost two lengths here last time. His trainer has a high strike-rate at the track and has every chance of adding to it.
Congrats This was behind Cowboy Bob when they last met but improved when winning here last time.
HEIR BALL has stall nine to contend with but has the strongest form on show. She has been running well at this level and was less than a length away in second over course and distance last time out. She has much the best speed figures over this trip and her early pace should help her get a good position.
Over Gators hit the post in a similar race to this here last time and can’t be ruled out despite her trainer’s modest form this season.
Twice As Magical won a decent contest here two runs ago before a poor run latest. She could bounce back from that and is another to consider.
REITERATE won on debut here last season and has been found a good chance to land her second victory. She is coming down in class on the back of a fair fourth last time and the step up in distance could well bring improvement.
Kayseri had a bit up her sleeve when winning over trip and track last time out. This is a hotter contest but she is capable of better after just six appearances.
Miss My Macho likes this turf course and was again right on the premises last time. She wasn’t helped by being pushed out wide coming into the home straight.
