Corrie star Kym Marsh denies having botox after fans compliment 'flawless' skin

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has denied having botox after a fan complimented her ‘wrinkle free’ skin.

The actress — who portrayed Michelle Connor on the long-running ITV soap — posted a selfie on Instagram.

She captioned the post with: ‘Actually bothered to put some makeup on!!! Forgot what my face can look like, as recently it looks like it’s fallen off.’

Following the post, Kym received several compliments from fans in the comment section, with one commenting: ‘Your skin always looks flawless. Would love to see what you use xx’, while another said: ‘You are very pretty with or without make up,’ and another added: ‘Ha know the feeling! You look lovely x’

One fan was so in awe of Kym’s look, that they said: ‘Have you had botox or is it filter you’re using?’

Kym responded with: ‘Well if I had botox it would have worn off by now wouldn’t it?

The fan then replied: ‘I didn’t mean it as nasty just generally intrigued as your skin looks so smooth and wrinkle free. Awesome’.

Kym played Michelle in Coronation Street between 2006 and 2019, and has appeared in a number of the soap’s biggest ever storylines during that period.

She is currently taking a break from the serial drama, and thus made her final appearance at the end of last year.

Coronation Street continues Monday 1 June at 7:30pm on ITV

Speaking of comfortable — the soft, stretchy fabric? C’est magnifique. Even pregnant shoppers are making it a go-to!

Ozark theories: Agent Maya SAVED the Byrdes in season 3 final scene – here’s how

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

Following her introduction in season three of the Netflix series, Agent Maya Miller (played by Jessica Francis Dukes) proved to be a persistent thorn in the side of Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman). Maya was well aware of Marty’s money-laundering operation on behalf of the Navarro Cartel but knew she would need plenty of evidence to build the case – hence why she set up shop in Marty and Wendy’s (Laura Linney) casino. However, as the Byrdes appeared to be heading on a downward spiral with cartel honcho Omar (Felix Solis), a new Ozark fan theory suggests she could’ve been the one to save them.

WARNING: This article contains major spoilers from Ozark season 3.

Over the course of the series, Maya and Marty had grown rather close, despite their clear differences when it came to their intentions.

Maya was determined to expose Marty’s involvement with the Navarro Cartel and even offered him a lifeline with the possibility of a career with the FBI when he’d served time.

Marty, on the other hand, was convinced he could ‘flip’ Maya and have her work for him while also operating as an agent for the FBI.

Neither plans came to fruition in season three as Marty faced his fair share of deadly challenges elsewhere, something Maya heavily suspected.

  • Ozark plot hole: Error with ‘missing money’ in Marty’s account exposed

So much so, that in the final moments of the season three finale, it looked like Marty was heading to certain death.

Marty and Wendy were summoned to Omar’s home in Mexico alongside wicked lawyer Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer).

Unbeknownst to the Byrdes, Helen had been working behind their back to scam them out of the operation and effectively render them useless to Omar.

Helen had even forged a false confession under Marty’s name to give up the entire operation to the FBI.

Helen’s plan and air of smugness soon faded away when they all arrived in Mexico, however, as hitman Nelson (Nelson Bonilla) shot and killed the lawyer, sparing the Byrdes.

The moment is one that took the Byrdes and Ozark fans by shock but one eagle-eyed viewer has theorised the murder could have been because of a Maya intervention – here’s how.

Moments before the Byrdes board the plane to Mexico, Maya calls Marty to ask where he is.

When he reveals he’s boarding a plane, Maya urges him not to board it if it’s heading to Mexico and, seemingly, to certain death.

Marty ignored her pleas and got onboard the plane and it’s led to one fan predicting Maya then reached out to Omar directly.

On Reddit, user EdoubleYT explains: “I’ve been debating with friends on how Navarro abruptly executes Helen. Did he know the signed confession warrant was fake through his own observation or was he tipped off?

“A) Navarro realizes that the Byrde’s would never sign a confession with the FBI then willingly hop on a jet to Mexico, thus see through Helen’s ruse and has her killed.

“B) Plan was to execute the Byrde’s when they got off the jet. However, Maya tips off Navarro Cartel that the signed confession is fake.”

Ozark plot hole: Fans uncover huge error in scene between Ruth and Ben

  • Ozark plot hole: Ruth Langmore and Wendy Byrde scene creates error

They conclude: “Also providing the notion that Marty had willingly provided incriminating evidence to have the Lagunas Cartel dealt with by the army.”

If theory ‘B’ were to be the correct one, it would certainly prove why Omar decided to kill Helen instead of the Byrdes.

After all, Maya is desperate to keep Marty alive, could she have pulled some strings to warn Omar off and point the blame at Helen?

Ozark is available to stream on Netflix now.

Power: Showrunner confirms season 6 newcomer to return in spin-offs ‘Definitely’

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

James ‘Ghost’ St Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick) may have been the focal point of Power for six seasons on Starz before his death but it doesn’t mean the story will not live on. Showrunner Courtney Kemp confirmed after the divisive Power finale that the universe will continue in the form of four spin-off shows with several familiar faces returning.

Power Book II: Ghost will centre around Ghost’s son and his murderer Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) as he deals with the guilt of killing his own father.

Book III: Raising Kanan will act as a sequel, giving fans an insight into the younger years of terrifying drug dealer Kanan (50 Cent).

Book IV: Influence focuses on disgraced politician Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate) while the final series, Book V: Force, sees Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) continue life without his best friend.

While the lead characters for each series have been confirmed, speculation surrounding secondary faces has been rife, with fans wondering if they’ll be able to see their favourite Power characters back on screens.

  • Power showrunner speaks out on Ghost’s return to Starz series

Luckily, showrunner Courtney Kemp has added come comfort for fans as she hinted at returns for a number of characters on Instagram in recent weeks.

Kemp has hinted there could be a surprise return for LaKeisha (La La Anthony), admitting she’d “love” to work with the actor again.

Ramona (Cynthia Addai Robinson) could also be back as Kemp confessed she “has plans for her.”

And now it looks like a season six debutant could also be returning in the spin-offs after Courtney addressed rumours surrounding Tate’s family.

Speaking on an Instagram live Q&A last month, one fan wanted to know if Kamaal Tate (Lahmard J Tate) would be back.

He only appeared in one episode of Power season six but proved to be a hugely popular character thanks to his no-nonsense attitude towards his brother.

Courtney read aloud on Instagram: “Will Tate’s brother play a bigger role in Power?

“I hope so, I hope so, I would like that very much.”

She added: “To continue to work with Lahmard, I think he’s very talented, so yeah, definitely.”

With Rashad Tate leading Power Book IV, there’s a very good chance, therefore, his brother will reappear too.

Lahmard made a name for himself prior to Power on a number of the USA’s biggest shows and blockbusters.

Shortly after the turn of the century, Lahmard landed a recurring role in series Moesha.

He then went on to star in big-screen movies Rocky Balboa, Barbershop and Civilian Life.

Fans will have to wait for Book IV to premiere to see for sure if the Tate brothers will reunite.

Power: Was Ghost St Patrick always going to die? Star confirms fate

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

Starz has confirmed a raft of Power spin-off series in the works including Book II: Ghost, Book III: Raising Kanan, Book IV: Influence and Book V: Force. Each of the shows will focus on a different character from within the Power universe. Many fans are still distraught about the death of lead character James “Ghost” St Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick) – but was he always fated to die?

Was Ghost St Patrick always going to die?

Ghost met a tragic end in Power after he was shot dead by his own son Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.).

There were several possible suspects, who were whittled down in the last five episodes of season six.

In the end, fans learnt the truth and were left devastated as the drug dealer met a Shakespearean-like demise at the hands of Tariq.

His mother Tasha St Patrick (Naturi Naughton) tried to stop Tariq from pulling the trigger but she was a second too late as Ghost fell to his death.

  • Power Book 2 spoilers: Will Cash kill Tasha in revenge for LaKeisha?

However, his death shouldn’t have been a shock to fans with the kingpin always slated either to die or banged up in jail.

Ghost already went to prison during the show, so it looked like death was inevitable.

Speaking about Ghost’s murder, Power creator Courtney A. Kemp told Deadline back in February how the character was never going to get a happy ending.

She explained: “My goal was just to provide great entertainment, and I hope I have.

“You know, I think there are people who are disappointed that Ghost is dead, but I promised that from the beginning.

“I said he would be dead or in jail. I don’t think I lied, you know?”

Kemp continued: “And then the other thing is, is he really? Because his legacy lives on in his son and in his youngest daughter doesn’t it.

“We may yet see that those things and there are stories to be told there, as well.”

Her words also suggest Tasha was always destined for prison – the consequence a life of crime.

Now it will be up to Tariq to essentially make amends for his own crime after his mother took the fall.

Reflecting on Tasha’s decision to go down for her child’s mistake, Kemp said: “I feel as a mom, I’ve made a lot of sacrifices for my kid, and I would do it again.

“I don’t think you ever regret making a sacrifice for your child. I just don’t think you do.

  • Power theories: Ghost alive as he planned to fake death with Ramona

“I can only speak to being a mother, but I’ve seen fathers also give the ultimate for their child, you know?

“So Tasha going to jail instead when Tariq has his whole life ahead of you, and you blame yourself for some of your choices, why not? Why not?”

Tariq and Tasha’s story will continue in Book II, but the college student’s arc could be one of redemption for his sins.

Perhaps Tariq could get the happy ending his father so desperately craved and be able to go legitimate.

Alternatively, given Tariq’s acumen, he could even become a white-collar criminal rather than just a low-level gangster.

This would certainly show a progression in Power from Ghost and Tasha’s humble roots to a more sophisticated form of criminality.

Tariq’s ascension would also give another flavour to the Powerverse but fans will have to wait and see how Book II plays out and if the story will evolve.

Power seasons 1 to 6 are streaming on Netflix now

Girl, 7, stabbed to death in her bed in front of horrified mum who had just tucked her in and kissed her goodnight – The Sun

A LITTLE girl was brutally stabbed to death with a pair of scissors in her own bed in front of her traumatised mum and sister.

Melissa Desrosiers has told of the horrific moment a family friend burst into her seven-year-old daughter Bella Rose's room at their home in Edmonton, Canada, while she was tucking the child into bed.

The attacker plunged the blades into the girl prompting Melissa to grab her other daughter Lily, four, and run for her life.

She says she knew she could not save Bella Rose – who died 10 months after her father took his own life.

Hours before her death on Monday night, the seven-year-old drew a picture of her killer, who was suffering a “personal crisis” at the time, CBC News reports.

The man, who has not been named, is said to have smiled when he saw the drawing.

Melissa said Lily was "absolutely sad" over losing her "best friend" Bella Rose who loved to sing and play the piano.

The loving sisters enjoyed setting up a stall and selling lemonade together in the summer, their mum said.

She told the news outlet that the attacker was long-time friend who she invited to stay at the house because he was having personal problems.

The grieving mum said she was planning to take the man to the hospital after she put her children to bed.

But moments after she had said goodnight to her girls, the man burst into the room and began stabbing Bella Rose.

Melissa saved Lily and called the police who arrested her former friend.

Paramedics tried and failed to save Bella Rose who died at the scene.

According to reports, charges were still pending against the man as of last night.

Less than a year ago, Melissa's husband Ben took his own life.

She says seven-year-old Bella Rose was “very strong” and “very resilient” and helped her cope with the devastating loss of her husband last July.

Neighbours of the family in Edmonton were horrified to hear of the “happy” little girl's death.

Debbie Smith told the Edmonton Journal: “It’s terrible what happened in my neighbourhood.

"I was shocked. I was crying.”

Another local resident, Marta Sanchez, said: “I couldn’t sleep last night. We’re very sad for these people.”

Ravi Sharma told CTV Edmonton: "Rough one last year you can say, very, very rough for the family and very rough for the block also.

"They were nice, very nice to have a neighbour like this family.”

Miley Cyrus Cut Her Joe Exotic Mullet Even Shorter

Miley Cyrus has kept herself busy during quarantine with an Instagram Live show, Bright Minded, and speaking engagements, like at #Graduation2020. But she's still suffered from boredom, as we all have, and is curing it in very relatable ways—like changing up her hair. It started in April, when the singer got a mullet cut that many people thought resembled Joe Exotic's from Tiger King on Netflix.

"Miley Cyrus really out here looking like the Tiger King," one fan tweeted about the new look at the time. "Whyyy does Miley have the Joe Exotic cut????? Lmaoo Rolling on the floor laughing," wrote another. "All I’m saying is… have you ever seen Miley Cyrus and Tiger King in the same room together?" a third joked.

Well, it turns out Cyrus still really digs this look—because she now has a shorter version of it. The new cut comes courtesy of her mom, Tish, yet another example of relatable quarantine behavior. Since we can't go to our normal hairstylists, our friends and family members in quarantine have been stepping up to the plate. Tish nailed this one, if you ask me.

Cyrus's hairstylist, Sally Hershberger, agrees. "I trained Tish well! ;)✂️#virtualhaircut lol," she wrote on Instagram.

“Miley sent me over a picture for inspiration, but this pixie mullet is completely different than the original inspiration photo,” Hershberger said in an email. “That’s why I love working with Miley–she’s a creative, we work really well together to bring visions to life.”

She continued: “Miley’s mom, Tish, played a huge part in this transformation as well. I love working with Tish–she has a really good eye for detail. I was glad she was there to help Miley with this cut."

I wonder what hairstyle Cyrus and her dream team will cook up next. Knowing her adventurous spirit, your guess is as good as ours.

Vikings: Why did Ivar the Boneless kill Thora in Vikings?

Vikings is a popular historical drama series on History and Amazon Prime, and it follows the sons of the famous Ragnar Lothbrok (played by Travis Fimmel). In the series, Thora (Eve Connolly) is the lover of Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø), but she was killed in season 6 and fans are wondering what happened to her. She had been murdered at the hands of Hvitserk’s brother, Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen), and her death haunted Hvitserk for a long time.

Thora was introduced in season five, speaking to Hvitserk about why he did not attend his brother’s sacrificial ceremony.

Ivar had made threats to Thora, saying it would be a shame to see her burned alive. He later spots her in a crowd of onlookers who believed Ragnar had been a better leader than him.

Viewers were shocked to see Thora and her family punished, as Ivar had ordered for them to be put to death for turning against him.

She and her family are burned alive, and Thora has to watch as her father is set on fire, before facing the same terrible fate herself.

  • Vikings season 6, episode 11 release date: When does Vikings return?

Ivar had seen a statue which had been dedicated to him had been vandalised, and he was frustrated at the fact not everyone believed in him.

Thora had told him Ragnar would have never forced his power on anyone, and initially Ivar does not seem to take much notice of her words.

However, he leaves a mark on her which indicates to his guards she must be put to death for going against the ruler.

Her death is one of the most horrendous in the series, and it sent Hvitserk on his downward spiral, suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.

Hvitserk continues to see visions of Thora with burnt skin and she taunts him over the fact his brother slaughtered her and her family.

The visions drive Hvitserk to madness and he starts drinking heavily and taking drugs to try and bury the thoughts.

However, his instability peaks when he ends up stabbing shieldmaiden Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) by mistake, thinking she was an evil serpent coming to kill him.

Fans were left heartbroken after seeing the way Thora’s death has such an impact on Hvitserk and his mental health.

The Last Kingdom season 5: Will Brida become the enemy in new series? [FAN THEORY]

One fan said on Twitter: “Ivar you evil b**, I honestly hope Hvitserk kills him for what he did to Thora #Vikings.”

However, in a strange turn of events fans will know in season six Hvitserk and Ivar end up teaming up in order to launch an attack on their homeland.

Ivar had joined the Rus Vikings who wanted to invade Scandinavia, and he helped bring Hvitserk back to health so he could join in the fight.

Fans could not believe how quickly Hvitserk seemed to forgive Ivar for murdering his lover, and they are wondering whether his plan is a trick.

Another fan said on Twitter: “Hvitserk is just going to leave Thora there after his brother threatened to burn her? I mean, if there’s ever a reason to make it a double occupancy room, Hvitsy, this is it.”

  • Vikings cast: Who is John Kavanagh? Who does John Kavanagh play?

Hvitserk may be trying to hide his resentment in order to get Ivar on his side, before launching at attack on him.

What Ivar did to Thora was unforgiveable, and fans will be expecting Hvitserk to take some sort of revenge on his brother.

Hvitserk did previously join his brother Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) in a fight to overthrow Ivar shortly after Thora’s death.

However, all seems to be forgotten in the most recent series, which sees Thora in ghost form driving Hvitserk to insanity.

In Viking mythology, Thora is actually a wife of Ragnar, however, in the series she is in love with Ragnar’s son.

Vikings will return to History and Amazon Prime at the end of 2020
