‘Middle-class Joe’ Biden ‘boosted by almost $30MILLION in donations from Wall Street types’ – The Sun

JOE Biden counts Wall Street financiers among his biggest campaign donors despite his self-appointed "Middle-Class Joe" moniker, a new analysis has found.

Stockbrokers, bond dealers, and big-time financial security companies have donated $29.7 million to the former vice president's 2020 campaign or to political committees that support his bid for the White House, according to numbers compiled by Breitbart News on Wednesday.

Research from the Center for Responsive Politics has found that the security industry sector is the second-largest source of contributions to Biden's campaign, the New York Post reported.

Following close behind are the Democratic Party and left-wing groups.

By contrast, President Donald Trump has received about $6.3 million from the security industry.

The former Delaware Senator has also gotten more campaign money from employees at JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs compared to Trump, at a total of nearly $508,260, according to the analysis.

Trump has received just $96,682 from the four Wall Street firms combined.

Records show that Morgan Stanley donated nearly $28,000, JP Morgan gave about $24,000, and Bank of America and Goldman Sachs gave nearly $40,500 and just over $4,200 respectively.

The report also shows that 58 percent of Goldman Sachs' political donations have gone to Democratic candidates running for congress, as have 62 percent of Morgan Stanley's donations during this year's campaign cycle.

BOA's contributions were evenly split between candidates from both parties.

JP Morgan preferred Dems over GOPers – 60 percent to 30 percent – while another 10 percent went to independents.

Sen Bernie Sanders has called on the presumptive Democratic nominee to incorporate his progressive ideas into Biden's presidential campaign since he dropped out of the race in early April.

But reports claim Wall Street still expects concessions from Biden and is hoping to snag multiple cabinet positions in a potential Biden administration.

Joe Biden APOLOGIZES for telling Charlamagne tha God 'you ain't black'

Joe Biden APOLOGIZES for telling radio host Charlamagne tha God ‘if you have a problem figuring out if you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black’ and says ‘I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy’

  • Joe Biden told radio host Charlamagne tha God he ‘ain’t black’ if he can’t figure out who to pick between Donald Trump and him
  • Biden sat down for a contentious 18-minute interview for Charlamagne tha God’s popular ‘Breakfast Club’ program
  • Charlamagne tha God asked tough questions including whether Biden was suffering from mental decline
  • Biden defended his Congressional record on crime and his decision not to be fully for legalizing marijuana
  • An aide tried to cut the interview short several times, to which Charlamagne tha God complained, ‘You can’t do that to black media’
  • Charlamagne tha God told Biden he needed to come back and do the show in New York, where it’s headquartered
  • The radio host told Biden that, ‘It’s a long way until November, we’ve got more questions’
  • That comment inspired Biden to say, ‘If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black’

Joe Biden apologized to black business leaders for telling popular radio show host Charlamagne tha God that he ‘ain’t black’ if he can’t discern the better presidential candidate between Biden and President Trump.

‘I should not have been so cavalier. I’ve never, never, ever taken the African-American community for granted,’ Biden said, according to the Associated Press. ‘I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy.’

Biden added that, ‘No one should have to vote for any party based on their race, their religion, their background,’ on a conference call with the U.S. Black Chamber of Commerce Friday afternoon.

Among those who criticized Biden for what he said was Diddy, also known as Puff Daddy, tweeting, ‘Aye bruh @JoeBiden I already told you the #BlackVoteAintFree.’ President Trump and his surrogates also took advantage of Biden’s gaffe.

Biden, the Democrats’ presumptive presidential nominee, made the cringey comment to Charlamagne tha God at the end of a contentious 18-minute interview that aired Friday morning, where the former vice president was forced to defend his record supporting black Americans.

At the conclusion of the interview, Joe Biden told Charlamagne tha God ‘if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black’

Joe Biden defended his record on race in the 18-minute ‘Breakfast Club’ interview, telling Charlamagne tha God that his record on race ‘is second to none’

Charlamagne tha God was upfront with Joe Biden about past criticism. And asked him tough questions including whether he was suffering from mental decline

Diddy, also known in some circles as Puff Daddy, tweeted a response to Biden’s comments Friday using the hashtag #BlackVoteAintFree

Over the course of the interview, an aide twice interrupted the back-and-forth to tell Biden he was over on time.

This inspired Charlamagne the God, the host of the popular ‘Breakfast Club’ program, to say, ‘You can’t do that to black media.’

‘I’ve got to do that to white media and black media because my wife has to go on at 6 o’clock,’ Biden replied. ‘Uh oh, I’m in trouble,’ he muttered, checking the time.

The Bidens, who are under a coronavirus stay at home order in Delaware, share a TV studio set up in a basement rec room.

Charlamagne the God asked the ex-veep to come see him in New York post-pandemic.

‘It’s a long way until November, we’ve got more questions,’ the radio host said.

Biden sounded surprised by that comment.

‘You’ve got more questions?’ he asked.

‘Well, I will tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,’ Biden said.

Charlamagne the God replied, ‘it has nothing to do with Trump.

‘I want something for my community,’ he told the former vice president.

Biden, using the defensive tone he used for most of the interview, shot back, ‘Take a look at my record man.’

‘I extended the voting rights act 25 years. I have a record that is second to none. The NAACP has endorsed me every time I’ve run. Come on, take a look at my record,’ Biden said.

When an aide tried ending things for a third time, Biden promised he would come back on ‘The Breakfast Club’ and called Charlamagne tha God ‘pal.’

Things had gotten off to a rocky start with Charlamagne the God copping to the fact that he had been criticial of Biden on his show.

‘I know you have,’ Biden replied. ‘You don’t know me.’

Charlamagne tha God admitted that was accurate.

‘No I don’t, that’s why I want to get to know you today,’ the host said. ‘I’m going to talk to you mostly about black stuff.’

Charlamagne tha God asked about Biden’s family and how they were doing during the coronavirus pandemic, while Biden segued and said, ‘I’ll tell you what, the black community is getting killed though.’

The radio host agreed, and then asked Biden about his cognitive health, pointing to the many attacks on the right suggesting that the 77-year-old candidate was experiencing a mental decline.

Biden responded by saying he couldn’t wait to take on the ‘stable genius,’ Trump.

Charlamagne tha God also questioned Biden on how he could excite voters from his basement.

‘I’m following the rules man. I wear my mask,’ Biden replied.

‘By the way I’m beating him across the board,’ he continued. ‘It’s not hurting me, I’m winning in all those states, I’m head in all national polls, the more he talks the better off I am.’

Charlamagne tha God said he was skeptical of polling after what happened in 2016 – especially since Hillary Clinton was ahead in national polling, but got beaten in three key swing states, where polling wasn’t being conducted as regularly.

‘Polls can be illusions,’ the radio host said.

Biden argued that it’s different in 2020 because instead of being an unknown change agent, Trump is a known commodity.

The two had a back-and-forth about the controversial 1994 crime bill, which has been blamed for mass incarceration of black Americans.

‘I got to ask you though, why so much resistance on admitting the crime bill and other legislation you were a part of was damaging to the black community?’ Charlamagne tha God asked Biden at one point. ‘We had Hillary on a few years ago, and Miss Clinton said the crime bill, we made a lot of mistakes with that and she wanted to atone for that by becoming the next president.’

Biden didn’t see things the same way.

‘She was wrong. It wasn’t the crime bill, it was the drug legislation, it was the institution of mandatory minimums, which I opposed,’ he said.

Biden said he had a broader plane for black America, which he referred to in the interview as a ‘manifesto.’

On the topic of drugs, Charlamagne the God asked Biden why he supported decriminalization of marijuana, but not full legalization.

‘Because they’re trying to find out whether or not there’s any impact on the use of marijuana, not in leading you to othet drugs, but does it effect longterm development of the brain,’ Biden answered. ‘And we should wait until the studies are done.’

‘I think science matters,’ the presumptive Democratic nominee added.

Charlamagne tha God also brought up the veepstakes, pointing to the CBS News story that broke Thursday, which said the Biden team was vetting Sen. Amy Klobuchar, a former 2020 candidate who is white.

‘A lot of people on social media, they’re not too happy about that because they want your running mate to be a black woman,’ Charlamagne tha God told the candidate.

‘And black people saved your political life in the primary this year,’ he added.

Biden had performed badly in both the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary. He came in a weak second to Bernie Sanders in the Nevada caucuses, but his campaign’s hopes completely turned around after he was endorsed by Rep. Jim Clyburn, the most powerful black lawmaker on Capitol Hill, and easily won South Carolina’s primary.

While Biden has agreed to picking a female VP, he has not committed to choosing a woman of color.

‘What I’m saying to them is I’m not acknowledging anybody who’s being considered, but I guarantee you there are multiple black women being considered, multiple,’ Biden said.

As soon as the interview was released Friday morning, the Biden campaign started playing clean-up, while President Trump’s campaign came out kicking.

Symone Sanders, a prominent black Biden campaign adviser, tweeted out that the former vice president was indeed kidding.

Symone Sanders, a top Biden adviser, took to Twitter Friday morning to clarify that the former vice president’s comments were made ‘in jest’

Trump campaign surrogates Sen. Tim Scott (left) and Katrina Pierson (right) jumped on a call with reporters Friday morning to discuss what Biden had said. Both didn’t believe Symone Sanders’ explanation that it was ‘in jest.’ Pierson also said she’d be open to Trump appearing on ‘The Breakfast Club’ with Charlamagne tha God

‘The comments made at the end of the Breakfast Club interview were in jest, but let’s be clear about what the VP was saying: he was making the distinction that he would put his record with the African American community up against Trump’s any day. Period,’ Sanders said.

The Trump campaign quickly deployed two black surrogates to address the matter: Katrina Pierson and Sen. Tim Scott.

On Fox Business Network Friday morning, Scott said ‘that is the most arrogant, condescending comment I have heard in a long time.’

Trump, himself, later retweeted Scott’s segment.

Pierson sent out a statement from the Trump campaign blasting ‘white liberal elites’ for their treatment of black Americans.

‘He truly believes that he, a 77-year-old white man, should dictate how Black people should behave,’ she said of Biden.

The duo then hopped on a conference call with reporters and said they found the Biden campaign’s explanation for the gaffe laughable.

‘I won’t even dignify that with a response,’ Scott replied when a reporter informed him of Sanders saying Biden’s comment was ‘in jest.’

‘The jest is the joke, right? Obviously it wasn’t in jest, he was serious,’ added Pierson, who slammed Biden for having a history of saying ‘dehumanizing things when it comes to black Americans.’

Pierson said she was open to having Trump appear on ‘The Breakfast Club’ with Charlamagne tha God.

‘I’m not opposed to it. I think it’s a place we should go,’ she said. ‘I’m a big fan of going to places where our voices aren’t really heard, because most of the listeners on either these radio programs, these podcasts, even some of these TV shows only get to hear one version and the caricature that gets painted of people like myself.’

Scott, one of only three black U.S. senators and the only Republican, said he had appeared on ‘The Breakfast Club’ and had held a panel with Charlamagne tha God on black wealth creation.

Previously, Charlamagne tha God had criticized both Biden and Bernie Sanders for not having a concrete economic plan for black Americans.

During an interview on MSNBC in March, as the Democratic primary was winding down, the radio host said he wanted to see a ‘specific agenda’ for black America similar to what candidate Michael Bloomberg had come up with during his brief campaign.

Bloomberg’s ‘Greenwood Initiative’ had tackled issues including increasing black homeownership and black-owned businesses in the United States.

Charlamagne the God had also previously criticized Biden for avoiding his show, while all the other top-tier Democratic candidates viewed it as a must-do during the primary.

The radio show host had on Sanders, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren, who he told to her face sounded like ‘the original Rachel Dolezal’ by claiming native American heritage.

‘We have been loyal to Democrats for a long time, black people have invested a lot into that party and the return on investment has not been great,’ Charlamagna tha God told Mediaite Friday, responding to Biden’s comment.

The radio host noted that Biden had admitted the party owed something to the black community for that support.

‘So let’s see what you got!!!’ he said in a written statement. ‘Votes are Quid Pro Quo. You can’t possibly want me to Fear Trump MORE than I want something for my people.’

What happened to Joe Wicks’ arm and is he doing his PE workout on YouTube? – The Sun

JOE Wicks will continue his PE sessions at 9am today but won't be able to demonstrate exercises in the wake of surgery on his hand.

The Body Coach revealed he was bringing in the "hottest substitute teacher ever" to show us all how to do the workouts – his wife Rosie.

What happened to Joe Wicks?

Over the weekend Joe Wicks, who is donating the money raised from his online PE lessons to the NHS, posted a video of himself "gowned up" and waiting for an operation on his hand.

The Body Coach fractured his hand at the end of March after falling off a bike.

He admitted himself into hospital on Friday.

He said the pain from the "infection" in his hand was "throbbing and pulsating like liquid hot magma".

The 33-year-old said he was "super grateful for the health system we've got" and "the NHS people who are out here still grafting".

Joe also revealed his wife would help out in his morning workouts while he recovers.

He said: "I've just asked my lovely wife Rosie to help me on Monday morning and she's kindly agreed.

"It's well out of her comfort zone but she's my best friend and she knows how much this means to me.

"I don't want to let anyone down but I don't think I'm going to be able to demo many exercises so I'll be having Rosie on camera with me."

The Body Coach added: "I'll still lead the session and coach you through it.

"I'll just have Rosie demonstrating the moves."

What are Joe Wick's daily PE sessions?

Joe Wicks started doing his daily PE sessions after Britain's schools were closed indefinitely as the Government battles to control the spread of Covid-19.

The lessons called "PE with Joe" are streamed live on Wicks' YouTube channel at 9am, Monday to Friday.

The Body Coach TV channel has over 2million subscribers and his first episode had over a million views.

There's no need for any equipment with Wicks' lessons designed to be done in living rooms using only bodyweight.

Wicks' sessions continue to provide relief for parents who are indoors with children all day while they're off school.

Joe Wicks said in March: "It's called PE with Joe. It's a workout specifically designed for kids because when the schools are closed there is no PE.

"Don't worry I've got you, I'm going to take this over and get your kids moving and feeling energised, positive, optimistic.

"It's a 30-minute session for little kids right up to secondary school. Get involved, have fun. We're gonna be doing loads of basic exercises, you don't need a lot of room. I'm looking forward to it.

"I am going to be the nation's PE teacher starting from Monday! Don't forget your PE kit."

Sharing a screenshot of some of the videos already on his channel, Joe added: "Exercise can transform the way you feel and react and interact with everyone around you."

He later shared another photo on Instagram promoting the free lessons and captioned it: "I produce so much free fitness content online and I never ask for anything in return but today I need your help.

"I need your support to help spread this online so as many parents as possible know that this is an option for them to use next week.

"Parents are going to be under pressure next week and for 30 minutes a day I can take over and inspire and energise the kids to get active, bounce around and have fun. You can even join in with the kids.

"Please share away.

"This is going to help millions of children and parents feel happier for 30 minutes and beyond everyday #PEwithJoe."

Joe also offers workouts for the elderly on his channel.

RHONJ’s defeated Joe Giudice will ‘never step foot’ in America again after deportation appeal is denied – The Sun

JOE Giudice has revealed he will "never step foot in America again" after his legal appeal to be allowed back into the United States was denied.

The former Real Housewives star was deported to Italy in 2019 after serving 41 months in jail on charges of wire and bankruptcy fraud.

But he found out on April 29 that his appeal to be allowed entry back into the country where his daughters live has failed.

Joe said: "As I proceeded with caution, hoping to win the judge’s sympathy, I was hoping to come home to my girls.

"Today, According to U.S immigration I was told I will never step foot in America again."

"My appeal was denied."

Speaking to The Hollywood Gossip, the father of four added: "The dreadful words no one wants to hear, especially now. I always feel I belong in the United States with my family, not in Italy.

"My heart is aching. My limbs feel weak."

He concluded: "I won’t see my girls glowing smile that I loved waking up with every morning now

"That makes me scared it means that my kids world will be without me."

Joe, 47, is currently living in his native Italy, while his estranged wife Teresa, 47, and their four daughters, Gia, 19, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 10, remain in America.

The RHONJ husband was transferred to ICE detention center after serving the 41-month sentence, and he was released from ICE that October.

The couple announced their separation in December and in April, Teresa's brother confirmed their divorce is nearly complete.

Teresa and their daughters visited him in Italy in November 2019, and their daughters returned to Italy in December to spend the holidays with him.

Although they were set to visit him for Easter as well, the plans were canceled because of the pandemic.

Joe was also unable to attend the funeral for Teresa's father, Giacinta Jorga.

On the Bravo show, Joe’s oldest daughter, Gia, who has rallied for her father to return to America on social media, encouraged him to remain in ICE custody until his appeal is approved.

But because of harsh conditions, he left and moved to Italy.

Joe Judge talks up Markus Golden after Giants use rare tactic

It sure sounds as if new head coach Joe Judge is extremely interested in having Markus Golden as a member of his first Giants roster.

The Giants on Monday put the rare unrestricted free agent tender on Golden, meaning if he is not signed by another team by July 22, he’ll play for the Giants next season for a salary of $4.12 million, or 110 percent of his 2019 salary of $3.75 million. It is a tactic not used often in the NFL and one the Giants pulled out to possibly secure Golden, their sack leader last season with 10.

“Obviously we think he’s a talented player,” Judge said Tuesday morning on WFAN. “He’s been a great locker room guy. I have a lot of respect for him from afar. I haven’t worked with him in person yet.”

Two items to glean from that comment: Judge clearly spoke with people in the Giants’ building to determine Golden last season was “a great locker room guy.” Judge also used the word “yet” to describe working with Golden. Of course, if Golden gets a better offer elsewhere he will not return to the Giants.

Submit your Giants questions here to be answered in an upcoming Post mailbag

“But hey listen, we’re doing what we thought was best for the team in terms of using tags, things are allocated through the CBA and the way the league works,” Judge said. “At this point we’re exploring a lot of options for roster additions. It’s a fluid process throughout the year. We don’t stop after the draft, we don’t stop after free agency. It really goes through the off-season and continues into the season.

“At no point are we gonna say we’re established. We’d like to get to a point sooner than later we feel solid about players and positions were in but there’s external factors you can’t always control that create movement at positions.”

There is now a salary baseline for teams to use when dealing with Golden, who might not be thrilled with how the Giants manipulated this tender. It is perfectly legal, though, and Golden is free to shop himself to any team for any price. His market did not materialize the way he envisioned when he proved he was healthy coming off a knee injury, starting all 16 games for the Giants and getting double-digit sacks.

“I’m not going to go into the contact talk part of it,” Judge said. “I am excited about the prospect of talking with Markus and see where it goes from there.”

Tiger King: How Joe Exotic’s lover now bombarded with outrageous messages from strangers

The controversial Netflix docu-series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness has captivated online audiences since its release a month ago. It has been watched by more than 64 million households across the world. While this falls around a million short of the streaming giant’s most popular show this month – the fourth season of Money Heist, also known as La Casa De Papel – it’s clear Tiger King remains an undeniable success. Despite this, the TV show has seeped its way into everyday life and conversation all over the world. This includes US President Donald Trump addressing it during a speech and even Prince William making a quip about Tiger King during the BBC’s Big Night In. The popular programme shows big cat keeper Joe Exotic struggle to stay afloat as animal activists try to shut down his zoo over alleged animal cruelty. Campaigner Carole Baskin launched numerous lawsuits to end his operations – reportedly totalling up to $2.5 million (£2m) in legal costs. The show ends with Joe Exotic in jail serving a 22 year sentence for trying to hire a hitman to kill Ms Baskin, animal abuse and other crimes. Recently his husband Dillon Passage has spoken out about life since Joe’s imprisonment and revealed shocking details about the unbelievable messages he’s been sent online.

Joe Exotic, real name Joseph Maldonado Passage, could spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of numerous crimes.

The Netflix star is desperately fighting for his freedom and is likely to appeal the 22 jail year sentence he was served.

Joe’s husband Dillon Passage has been speaking out on behalf of the self-professed ‘Tiger King’ about what he claims are mistruths in the docuseries.

He rejected claims his partner had hurt the animals in his care, which he dismissed as an “activist hoax”, during an interview with FUBAR Radio.

Dillon also revealed he had been hounded by the public since the show was released – stating some had sent him brutal abuse messages and others shared naked photographs.

He said: “I’ve definitely received quite a few nudes from people and it’s just like, ‘keep that to yourself’.

“I already know what a wiener looks like, I don’t need to see yours too!”

One of the hosts, Joanna Chimonides mused about what people hope to happen when they send unsolicited explicit content – typically of their genitals.

She said: “What is going through people’s minds when they send that? Do they think I’m gonna be like, ‘Wow, love that, accept’.”

Dillon sarcastically added: “Yes, that’s awesome! Yeah, no, it’s definitely not like that! I’m like delete, swipe!”

Dillon explained how his life had changed since the Netflix show was first broadcast on March 20.

He said: “People keep calling me a celebrity and I’m like, I’m just a normal dude.

“I do everything that everybody else does. It’s not like I’m living in Hollywood or anything like that!

“It’s definitely been weird, people wanting to take pictures and reaching out to me.

“I just found there’s a frickin’ Dillon Passage fan page on Instagram! Now I’m just waiting for the hate page, honestly!”

After Life’s Joe Wilkinson stunned by Postman Pat’s unlikely romance in season 2 and reveals he gets heckled in the street

AFTER Life’s Joe Wilkinson was stunned by Postman Pat’s unlikely romance in season 2 – and revealed he gets heckled in the street.

The comedian stars alongside Ricky Gervais in the hit Netflix series, which returns for it's second season on Friday.

While Joe's character Pat is still a bit of a nuisance to Ricky's widower Tony during the second outing, he also gets to explore his character's love life.

Tony sets Pat up with sex worker Roxy, played by Roisin Conaty, and Joe, 44, was delighted when he read the scripts.

Speaking to The Sun Online and other media, Joe said: "For Pat series one he was just the annoying wally at the door.

"I think series two, Ricky gave him a really nice story to kind of get under the skin of Pat and learn a bit more about him and gave him a love story which I didn't see coming.

"I didn't think that was going to happen but I think it humanised him and Roxy a lot more, it made you care about Pat.

"Part of Tony's journey is to connect with people more and then through that you learn that Pat is not having the easiest time and hopefully you think 'Oh he does deserve someone like Roxy'.

"I thought it was a really big leap forward and I was flattered Ricky wanted to do that with the character."

However, Joe insists Pat is still a prat and that's what leads to him being heckled in the street by fans of the show and real life postmen.

He said: "I get people shouting Postman Pat at me, going to football after was a torture.

"My character was initially very flippant and he had this joke of Postman Pat and now I have to live with it."

As for real life posties, Joe said: "I've had some awkward moments, I went to collect a package and the bloke goes 'oh hello Pat' and I went 'I'm so sorry' and he goes 'Ah it's alright, I found it funny'.

"But for one minute I thought it was the opposite and that they were burning effigies of me."

After Life season two premieres on Netflix on Friday, April 24.

UFC legend Joe Rogan reveals dramatic transformation over past 23-years after footage emerges of first report – The Sun

THE UFC have released footage of Joe Rogan during his first ever event with the MMA promotion 23 years ago.

Legendary commentator Rogan has gone through a dramatic transformation from the start of his career to now, with his loss of hair the most striking change.

And fans could barely recognise the now esteemed pundit with a full head of hair.

One said: Ohhhhhh! He had a hair!

Another said: "Who is this stranger doing a damn good Joe rogan impression?"

The first event he covered was UFC 12, which took place on February 7, 1997, working as a backstage and post-fight interviewer.

But the American, who was also working in stand-up comedy, quit after two years as his wage barely covered the cost of travelling.

After Dana White's school friends Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta brought the UFC in 2001, Rogan was offered a commentary role.

He initially declined a staff job, and instead worked on the mic for the company in exchange for free tickets for him and his friends.

But in 2002 Rogan accepted a full-time commentator job and has remained a synonymous part of UFC fights nights ever since.

During his rise in notoriety, Rogan's podcast continued to grow.

And after 190 million downloads per month in 2019, according to Forbes, The Joe Rogan Experience is the most popular podcast, earning £24m in revenue.
