Adele reveals the book that stopped her from being 'stressed and dishevelled' after seven stone weight loss
ADELE has credited a self-help book for stopping her from being "stressed and dishevelled" following her seven stone weight loss.
The 32-year-old star heaped praise on Glennon Doyle's 'Untamed: Stop pleasing, start living' on her Instagram page – insisting that it has changed her life.
The music icon admitted that she didn't realise that she was responsible for her own "happiness and freedom" until she read the book – which comes after overhauling her image with huge lifestyle changes.
Sharing a photo of the book's cover, Adele wrote in the lengthy post: "If you’re ready – this book will shake your brain and make your soul scream. I am so ready for myself after reading this book!
"It’s as if I just flew into my body for the very first time. Whew! Anyone who has any kind of capacity to truly let go and give into yourself with any kind of desire to hold on for dear life – do it. Read it. Live it. Practice it. We are a lot! But we are meant to be a lot!
"..'A good life is a hard life!' Read this book and have a highlighter on hand to make notes because you’ll want to refer back to it trust me!
"I never knew that I am solely responsible for my own joy, happiness and freedom!! Who knew our own liberation liberates those around us? Cause I didn’t!!
"I thought we were meant to be stressed and disheveled, confused and selfless like a Disney character! ProBloodyFound!! You’re an absolute don, Glennon ♥️"
The author commented on the post, thanking Adele for the plug.
She wrote: "I love you, my soul sister. Thank you for this. You are the ultimate goddamn cheetah. Love, Hope, Sisterhood- Glennon".
Adele looks almost unrecognisable to her former self after shedding seven stone in weight as she transformed her lifestyle.
Earlier this month, she showed off her slim physique and curly hair as she praised Beyonce on Instagram, and in May she shocked fans with her trim body in a new photo to mark her 32nd birthday.
It's reported she has dropped a total of seven stone since she began her weight loss journey several years ago, with three stone of that coming off more recently.
Adele's former personal trainer has since revealed that her competitive nature was key to keeping her motivated.
Pete Geracimo told Us Weekly: "When we had low days, I would alter the workout so that it would ease her into training, get her mind off of what was bugging her and then, before you knew it, we were having a good session and working hard.”
He added: "As she warmed to the idea of training, she started getting competitive and this created the momentum to wanting to improve her performance from session to session."
Meanwhile, insiders claim the release of Adele's birthday photo was masterminded to coincide with her first album for five years – which had been expected this September.
However, it has been pushed back due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic – and Adele has admitted that she has "no idea" when it will be released.
One fan commented on her new post about the book: 'Adele, where's the album?" to which Adele replied, "I honestly have no idea".
In June, the Hello hitmaker told a fan to "be patient" as she broke her silence on her fourth album delay after posting a Glastonbury throwback.
Her followers inundated her with questions about when the album would be out, and when one asked if her Instagram post was a clue the star replied: "Of course it's not. Corona ain't over. I'm quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient."
