Tuesday's Tipping Point saw a player suffer a 'brutal' drop which led to them being eliminated.

Ben Shephard was gutted for the player as luck certainly wasn't on their side as they took part in the popular ITV game show.

Rob, Holly, Dave and Gaynor were all taking part in a bid to win mega money.

During his turn, Dave put his counter into the machine and it tumbled down to the first shelf.

Things were looking good as he nudged the double counter towards the edge.

However, the double counter got stuck, and when it eventually fell over the edge, it fell directly on top of the coins below.

This meant none of the counters fell over the Tipping Point.

Shephard told the player: "That was really brutal Dave, I'm sorry".

Soon after, Dave was the first contestant to be eliminated as his fellow players made more money in their prize funds than he did.

Rob was the next player to be eliminated, followed by Holly.

Gaynor was the lucky contestant to make it through to the final.

This meant she was in with the chance of winning the £10,000 jackpot.

Despite managing to get the jackpot coin down to the second shelf, Gaynor ran out of coins.

Ben offered her three more counters in exchange for her £4,250 winnings.

Gaynor decided the risk of losing everything was too high, so she took the money.

Ben then posted a video showing clips from the upcoming new series.

He added: "Also the first few eps were filmed pre-covid so there will be #Benhugs (a least for a while!)"
